Hmmmmm
I have been called a racist because I disagree with President Obama's policies...I have been called a racist because I think he was totally unqualified for this position...I have been called a racist because he misled america on health care......HOWEVER...
"“I think if President Obama came out as gay, he wouldn't lose the black vote," a cheerful Van Jones told MSNBC this afternoon. "President Obama is not going to lose the black vote no matter what he does," he added." Van Jones: Obama Wouldn't Lose Black Vote If He Came Out As Gay | RealClearPolitics THIS does not indicate racism ?? |
People now a days use race to their advantage as illustrated with Obama pandering for the black vote. They can because in this politically correct culture they can get away with it.
IMHO a person may be a racist but it doesn't negate what he or she is stating concerning Obama's leadership abilities. In otherwords a person can be a racist and still be right about Obama being the worse president in this country's history. I make this point to counter the predictable liberal politically correct line. You dislike Obama's policies because you are a racist. Okey dokey! |
If the following from Bucco's post constitutes being a racist:
"...I have been called a racist because I disagree with President Obama's policies...I have been called a racist because I think he was totally unqualified for this position...I have been called a racist because he misled america on health care..." using these criteria for qualification then I must be one too!!! btk |
Everybody here pretty much already knows that. It's kinda obvious.

there is a great black documentary being made called Runaway Slave and you can google it to see other wise blacks who realize they will not support obama. and there are millions of women republicans, including me!

i guess the other 2% must have been employed! and there is NO WAY that THIS woman would EVER vote for obama!!! :22yikes: the republicans are offering OPPORTUNITY vs the democrats offering a complimentary check - paid for by the working men and women of america...not very fair in my book...just redistributing the wealth. :cryin2: |
I believe the ongoing referral, argument, assumption that blacks will always vote for blacks is demeaning to those blacks who can and do think for themselves and not as alleged blindly by the color of one's skin.
The notion being presented is that no matter how bad a president Obama has been....no matter that he has not delivered even close to what he promised in 2008....no matter what they disagree with Obama on....that they will buy his schtick again and accept and vote for him agian just because he is black?? I have said it before and will say it again; Obama will not carry the same blind following he got in 2008.....he will no doubt get a majority....but the minority vote (pun intended both ways) could be enough to not re-elect him.....AND THAT IS WHY THEY KEEP SAYING IT SO OFTEN....blacks will vote for blacks no matter what....because they damn well know this time around many won't. btk |

Demogrphics of the past Presidential election will remain about the same for this election. With all of those demographics of blacks, Hispanics, educated women, registered Democrats, and registered Independents, Romney can not hope for a victory. Santorum would be blown out of the water, Newt is a laughing stock, and Paul is just there for the ride.
If the Dumbpublicans put up someone like Alan West, they will have shot themself in the foot with their own gun. Well, back on dry land tomorrow and able to post easier. Great cruise on Celebrity! I highly recommend it to everyone. |
The question Van Jones was asked on MSNBC was about Obama's base. Jones was asked if Obama came out in favor of gay marriage, would he lose votes from his black supporters.
Jones can laugh and say anything he wants without any relevant follow-up questions, but recent polls show support for gay marriage isn't that great among blacks in America. I suppose that is one reason Obama has stayed on the fence and never come out in support of gay marriage in a manner that would please the LGBTQ groups. The question from Alex Witt was, "Let's talk a little bit about the base though. And Van, when you talk about the President's position on some of this stuff, I mean does he lose, if you talk about black voters versus, um, you know, Progressive voters; Democrats, the idea of driving a wedge. Do you think President Obama would some of the black vote if he did in fact come out in support of gay marriage?" Jones' response: "I think if President Obama came out as gay he wouldn't lose the black vote. President Obama isn't going to lose the Black vote no matter what he does. I don't understand this particular uh-uh-uh stategy on the...Certainly our numbers are a little bit more because we are more religious as a community. A little bit softer on some of this stuff. But it's not a hardcore issue for that many African-Americans..." |
can't say we missed the name calling, caustic word maker upper.

"educated women"?
i personally resent the term "educated women" in buggyone's post, implying that only dumb women vote republican...i am very well educated, speak four languages and have lived in europe more than once. this is typical of the arrogant liberal "dream-thinking" that only dumb people would disagree with them...wake up and smell the coffee...most people with even a little intelligence are seeing through obama's glib rhetoric. shouldn't you?
just watched a wonderful video of thomas sowell, a truly amazing black scholar, speaking about obama before the election...it was eerie how hauntingly he predicted obama's dangerous vision for this country and his radical ideology. maybe you can find it on youtube.... |
chachacha just keep in mind the source. His/her goal is to bait as long and as loud and as possible usually devoid of substance. The consistency of the posts make it easy to ignore since the name calling usually overwhelms any substance that MIGHT be in their post.

Couldn't agree with you more, chachacha. I have a Master's Degree and have also lived in Europe, plus the Far East. You have me on the languages though. I can speak reasonable English, on a good day, and Latin darn near killd me. LOL

If you look at statistics, the majority of college educated women vote Democrat. That is not to say 100% of college educated women will vote Democrat - just as it is not to say 100% of any group will vote for a certain candidate. Just the majority is what I meant. You can look up that fact for yourself and find out I speak the truth.
|
Really, Buggy? I'd love to see those stats.
"Based on data from the United States Census and renowned Cook Partisan Voting Index (CPVI), congressional districts with more educated residents are more likely to pledge their electoral votes to Republican presidential candidates. Conversely, congressional districts with less educated residents are more likely to pledge their electoral votes to Democratic presidential candidates."... Presidential Politics: More Educated Vote Republican - Yahoo! Voices - voices.yahoo.com From your friend Wikipedia: ..."Self-identified Republicans are significantly more likely than Democrats to have 4-year college degrees."... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republi...(United_States) |
Just to restate the premise of this thread.....it is racist to criticize the President but not racist to vote for him because he is black ?????
Is it not racist to vote for or against someone based on his skin color ? |

Or would it be the 1100 bills proposed in 2011 by state legislatures across the country regulating women's health care and the state-mandated vaginal ultrasounds passed by many states? Or would it be the pledge to roll back Don't Ask, Don't Tell? Or the pledge to rescind the Dream Act, if passed? It doesn't matter if President Obama is black, brown, white, yellow or pink. He is on the right side of the issues, republicans are not. |

I had some Coco Puffs go missing the other day!!! Do you think.....??? Suck it up brothah's! Obama's going to win. The Republicans don't even have a candidate! :spoken: |
Chelsea is 100% right as is Jancmn. Thanks for your posts. They were excellent.

Jancmn, great post. The usual Bucco response when he has no facts to repudiate the post....make fun of the poster.

No matter what the topic (skin color, what they call themselves, racism, etc.) we are so lucky to have these fine conservative men and women to attempt to put free-thinking women and men in their place. This forum is even more fortunate to have fine free-thinking liberal women to prevent that from happening! Nice job ladies. I just love free-thinking women. :pepper2::pepper2::pepper2:

SOMEONE, SOMEDAY has to face the actual issues facing this country. NOONE is being put "into their place" although come to think of it, that is a very famaliar phrase that I heard from the same side of the fence in 2008. I have always enjoyed discussing issues involved in politics...NEVER enjoyed discussing those personal and family issues. It appears that cannot happen here. YES, I am opposed to the current administration, because they do not tell the truth, they are mysterious, they are motivated by POLITICS ONLY, they pander at the lowest level. Having said that, I have also spoke in a positive about this administration at times. I NEVER hear those you applaud talk about real issues, and have ONLY heard them cheer 100% of everything this administration has done. Thankfully, I have honest, hardworking friends, etc. who enjoy open and honest discussion of issues facing this country and do not vote blindly, who learn from discussion on the issues, who do not idolize any political figure and certainly never even consider that one particular party has all the answers because that is ludicrous at best although, based on posts, feel exactly that way. The polarization in this country is because of those you applaud; the fact that I oppose this administration does not make me any of the names that those folks you applaud throw around. I feel strongly about what I feel, BUT I listen, but I do not listen to snippy comments aimed at individuals or parties, but will listen to anyone who can discuss the issues that need to be resolved and cannot be resolved with blind loyalty |
the dems didn't have a candidate in 2008 and they seem to have been able to pull it off.
