Once again proving that ANY action he takes is self centered:
Obama Believes Women Should Be Admitted to Augusta - ABC News
He is so blatant and could care less how obvious his intentions are. The only thing missing from the article is a little box at the end stating: I am Barrack Obama and I approve of this message as a candidate for POTUS. Most women will spot his sexist position in a minute. He is no more than a leaf flapping in the wind; going in what ever direction, taking what ever position, making what ever statement that will get him a vote....his sole purpose of existence. btk |

Why do you feel women should NOT be allowed in the Club? I am just curious.

"A local issue. The President is pandering to the female vote or is over reaching with his huge Federal Government."
I've since learned that Mitt has taken the same stance. Guess he is pandering to that vote also. |
Ever notice how this WH is fond of using the term "WAR ON......" and you can fill in the blanks, from women to poor to whatever.
This is an interesting article relative to this discussion.. "President Obama believes it is “long past the time” for women to be admitted to the traditionally all-male Augusta National Golf Club, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Thursday. The remarks were viewed by some as a conscious effort by the White House to propagate the meme of a “war on women” being waged by Republicans against the fairer sex. The president himself, however, has a well-documented history of excluding women, especially on the golf course" "In a 2011 article titled “The White House Boys’ Club: President Obama Has a Woman Problem,” TIME magazine’s Amy Sullivan detailed the president’s fondness for male-dominated enviroments." Obama |
the man was asked a question,he answered it. Simple enough. Not on this board it isn't. If it wasn't so sad it would be hilarious. And to Whatever what are you talking about. Those comparisons are childish. Disagreement is fine but please.

Pandering to Dems
I don't want my President of the United States addressing issues other than domestic or world shaking events. He has nothing but vote pandering when he comments on women's golf.

Populist statements are standard fare for these guys because it plays well . Obama's pitch about Augusta was made for the same reason he said Trayvon Martin could have been his son. Many black leaders were outraged about Obama's pandering for the black vote in that manner Because they wanted to see a black president that would further the coming together of the races. so many black people have come a long way in establishing a legimate place in society as doctors, scientist teachers, engineers, etc they don't need the Obama's Sharption's and Jackson's selfish motives to set back the decades long advances. |

Why are not those in here speaking on behalf of President Obama posting any responses to the foreign policy or the Russia thread ? Just curious

Obama, Romney Say Admit Women to Augusta Golf Club |
Both Obama AND Romney take this position.
Obama, Romney Agree On One Thing: Women Should Be Allowed In Augusta : The Two-Way : NPR
http://www.theatlanticwire.com/polit...t-women/50794/ This is a current event, why cannot political candidates and the POTUS comment on this issue?? What's the big deal? I do get the big deal with the Masters and allowing women into the clubhouse. There does not seem to be anything much going on here though with both Obama and Romney commentating about it. What's next? Both Obama and Romney do not like the rain stopping the golfers from playing?? The Cubs lost again! DeAndre Brackensick got kicked off AI. |

Both Obama Romney answered the question on the admission of women to membership at Augusta National Golf Club the same way, yet the heavy majority of posters here jumped all over the POTUS, with expressions of outrage and disdain. Yet other threads posted here on serious questions or issues really important to te country draw few responses, and even then some are shallow, trite, mean-spirited or intentionally try to misdirect the dialog. I hope this pattern doesn't reflect the thought that voters in general will invest in selecting a President and members of Congress to lead and represent them. |

After only a few days of reading in this forum, you appear to be a very small minority of folks that don't slander either side of the political gangs. Refreashing. |

I am not good at confrontation, so I will not be in here to often. I love the other informative forums and will hang my hat out there. Have fun in here

Obama's pronouncement compared to Romney's was, as usual, when Obama pronounces he gets headline and front and center play by all the media. Romney, like all the rest get a column (maybe) somewhere....maybe a little more if it serves the purpose to aid Obama.

again we have a group of posters trying to make a big deal out of nothing.

I'm not saying that it will be useless, but pretty close to that. You'd have to line all of them up with a fence-post to see any movement. I agree with your assessment of VK. If he were to run for a State or Federal Representative seat for the State of Florida I'd vote for him in a heart-beat - that is, if he'd just get rid of the one type of thinking that matches up with his signature line. I'd wholeheartedly support term-limits, but could never support NOT voting for ANY of the incumbents. That would be a solution too simplistic and too radical. Xavier |

Sort of glad you "came out" :) But defending him on this issue, to me, is just conversation to pass the time |
If it is not such a big deal why is the subject on Obama's lips right now, again, this morning as he is covered front and center by the media. He is working anything to do with women into an election pandering issue.
That is why it is such a big deal. I don't accept the ideology that if your man speaks about it it is for a good reason. If anyone questions or does not agree with what Obama or the talking points suggest we get pummeled by the supporters. As was asked by other posters where are the quick and ready supportive responders when a real issue/question is asked? btk |

I would want to know your motivation for the link. Do you support it, or do you not? Do you think the link is spot on analysis, or do you think it's crap? You just post a link?................I go on to the next comment. |
