RAIN DANCE needed in the Villages. Any takers?

Wow, it is sooo dry here, the lakes have dried up! Has it been like this before??

teachnmo 04-19-2012 05:25 PM

Move the water

The Villages has a system that lets them move water from one place to another as the need arises. It's somewhere in the contract that while you may have a water view, it is not a guarantee it will always be a water view.

I agree with the rain dance. Perhaps they could do one on the squares some evening!

Rain Dance

Maybe we all should rain dance instead of line dance for a few days!

My new sod thanks you!

CarGuys 04-19-2012 11:08 PM

Trish, the closer we get to summer, the more rain we will get (I hope, I hope).... it may rain every day, but usually for a short time with lots of thunder and lightening (still scares the sh** out of me). But unfortunately they have been predicting about 20% chance of rain every day for weeks, but nothing has happened. We sorely need it, and my allergies are the worse they have been for years. The pond behind my house is the lowest I have seen it and the poor ducks are walking in it rather than swimming.

If you do bring some rain down, thank you, I would really appreciate it... LOL.

Not sure if anyone did the rain dance but it is pouring in Buttonwood. Like the Gentry's sang "Keep on Dancing"

Hum.. interesting that here in Hadley it's been dry as a bone since you posted this message. However, that's not unusual and it'll probably pour any second now since I've stated this. This reminds me of when I was a kid riding with my parents when we ran into a rain line where within inches of that line it was real wet on one side and bone dry on the other. I guess as a kid that was surreal to me and left an indelible mark on my memory!

WAIT!!!! The rain stopped five minutes after my post about it pouring in Buttonwood. I guess the rain dancers didn't dance long and hard enough.

I live a little bit south of The Villages high school and it rained last night around 10:00 pm.. It was a good downpour that lasted about 15 or 20 minutes.
