Looks like Cowboy Joe Arpaio might be in some serious trouble. As they say, a new sheriff is in town. Maybe Cowboy Joe will be forced to wear some of the pink underwear in his own jail.

Well, that is what happens when the "law" violates the civil rights of people. Maybe Cowboy Joe never read the Constitution.

Maybe you don't understand the power that a sheriff has in his own terrority. Might just be that some of those boys from DOJ might be wearing pink undies for a while.

The Obama Team continues with their hit list. Intentionally slandering individuals that do not support Obama or contribute to Mitt campaign. These are nothing short of the tactics common street thugs use.

Not nice referring to the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee as a thug. Even if you are correct.

This story about Arizona speaks to the utter hypocrisy of this Holder and this administration.

Holder does not enforce any law of this country, which is his job, if he does not like it and then a rep of his mentions the constitution.

Stand your ground Sheriff Joe....the Arizona law simply says we will enforce the federal law you will not...will not arrest but turn the lawbreakers you dont care about over to you.

Holder and his secrets on Mexico......and other things will come out...could this be part of an October surprise ?

Let me understand this.....it is more important to you that we punish a high school student, who did nothing but capers and as the story continues the folks are backing out...but THIS is important to you...

I dont know....my perception of all of this leads me to a different conclusion.

Very interesting comment but I did not know "common street thugs" use the guaranteed rights of the 4th Amendment as one of their tactics.

I seriously doubt the validity of the post that says, "BUT NOT IMPORTANT to you is the President of the United States singling out individuals, calling them criminals and sending folks to their districts to dig up dirt....because they gave money to his opponent." I would like to see hard evidence of that - and not just a link to some right-wing rag or a windbag like Beck or Limbaugh - but actual proof of that remark.

Our Sheriff was indicted by DOJ back a few years ago. He plead out a deal and did a small amount of time in a Federal Detention Center. It happens.

Let me help you here.....the quote you are using to make whatever point you want to make had to do with the Obama administration calling out donors to Romney for public ridicule and accusation and then following up by having operatives in their areas digging up as much dirt as possible.

The quote you use has NOTHING to do with the 4th ammendment and had you read the post correctly you would have known that.

I read it quite clearly. I do not think you understood my underlying message that Cowboy Joe was denying citizens their 4th Amendment rights as guaranteed by the Constitution and that was the reason DOJ had to be sent to Arizona.

I have a very bad habit of reading the entire post and in that quote he alludes to the Obama guys and the Romney donors. He may have put it in the wrong thread...dont know, but he even mentions the contributions.

Pretty clear and now you use it for a different reason......just ask that you read before you react.

What is exactly libelous in the articles put on by the Obama campaign machine? You folks are just amazing...Obama cannot be wrong...if someone says it, they are looking for money, the site is a whacko or something of that ilk. the man is like walking perfection. I suppose as you folks I should just bow down in awe and take whatever he says as gospel.....despite the lies.

You missed my point. That Wall Street Journal writer is a columnist who writes opinions about Washington D.C's politics.

Where does she say that this "hit list" has false information in it? From what I have looked at, the statements made about various Republican donors are about stuff that you can find out if you Google such and such's name. The Republicans have done similiar stuff in past campaigns with the attacks on various big donors to Super Pacs. They just have not called them "hit lists". I find this tactic offensive but it has been part of campaign strategies for a long time. And, it is not the candidates who are doing this but people in the campaigns who will do just about anything to get their candidate into office.

Have you ever been to a website...EVER...where people were singled out and called criminals BECAUSE of the person to whom they donated money ?

Have you ever seen that ?

Now...second...

HAVE you ever seen a campaign BECAUSE of whom you donated money to hire folks to visit your home area and do investigations on you ?

Have you ever seen that ?

Now after you have done that.....show me anyone else OF ANY PARTY..Dem or Rep who have PUBLICLY called folks a criminal an then hired people to investigate them ?

I will wait for that because if that has been part of politics I have missed that totally. Investigate who they are...sure....if they have some questionable background, make it aware...sure.

Give me just ONE example and I will shut up on this and if the Democratic party did this and hired the investigators on DONORS, then trust me...OBAMA campaign is aware of it.

I wrote somewhere on TOTV's Political Forum that both Obama and Romney's high school histories were largely irrelevant to the men both have become.

I never said Barack Obama is perfect nor do I worship him as some have alleged on TOTV.

If you actually read the WSJ articles about the actions and you still find nothing wrong, then I am sorry but you do worship him. I thought and think the writer in both articles made it very clear and concise as to what was happening and why. AND who is behind it. You didn't I suppose and that is fine. If you want an article that mentions him by name, that aint gonna happen, but do you think the Dem party does such things without his campaign knowing it. Come on

Asking for ID for just looking Mexican is a violation of 4th Amendment rights. Remember, lots of people in Arizona who are US citizens are of Mexican background. If you were stopped every 3 blocks (for example) and asked for "your papers, please", I doubt if you would like it very much.

I am asked for an ID every time I play golf both in the club house and again at the starter shack. I am not offended, it is a necessity in this world we live in today. If you are stopped three time in a few blocks, it has more to do with your activity than your sombrero.

IN MY OPINION, BEING OVER SENSITIVE TO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS LEADS TO AIDING AND ABETTING OF CRIME. Let our protection officers do their job.

Here's an idea. Why don't you & ole Joe leave this country where citizens are entitled to their civil rights & go start your own police state somewhere. I'm sure the almighty sheriff would be really impressed with your illustrious, distinguished career in law enforcement, not to mention all of your NRA diplomas, certificates & ribbons.
