We are Fernandinians as well. We bought a lot on Quail Court and will start building in July. Our designer visit is on July 3rd. We are building an Iris. Hope to be frogs in April 2013. Can't wait !

We reserved a lot on Allaire Loop in 205. We have our designer visit in August and hope to trim our Christmas tree this year in TV! Looking forward to meeting our neighbors.

We are also in 205 on Allaire Loop with a mid June design team meeting. Lot's to do prior to the Aug/Sept. closing, and then of course even more hard labor to move in; still looking foward to it though.

My husband John and I just reserved lot 116 in section 205. Won't start building until May 2013. Can't wait to meet all of our new neighbors! We live in Florida about an hour and a half away so we will be visiting Fernandia often to watch the village progress from sand to homes.

We also are buying in TV at Fernandina, we are in #198 @ Killington Loop and Mc Arthur CT. across the road, a little away from most of you, but only a hop, skip and golf cart ride away! We are going down June 2 to meet with the Designer, then only a few months from there till finish We are limited time snowbirds for now, so pop on by in Jan. can't wait to meet all the friendly people there in TV. So much to do, so much to see! Can't come soon enough, hope to meet all of you!

Lot 205 on allaire loop
 

Hi Ana & Rick here from NY. We just put a down on a lot in Unit 205.
We looked at other 55+ communities and found that none of them held a candle to TV. We looked at many models and finally selected the Lily. Unfortunately, we won't be building till 2013. We don't golf but love the golf car.
Looking forward to biking, bowling, fishing, dancing, singing, laughing, etc.

We bought Lot 126 on Allaire Loop. Will be a while till we can live there full time, but we'll be visiting as much as we can. We'll be renting it starting in Nov/Dec, so if you know anyone who wants to rent, let me know. We're building a Whispering Pines.

Hi Everyone! I just returned from my Lifestyle visit earlier today after a whirlwind weeks tour in TV. I must have seen 50 new homes, in St Charles, Sanibel and Fernadina. Also saw some preowned in Chatham, Hadley and Mallory. I have fallen in love with the Lantana, but they are few and far between! So I ended up with a new lot in unit 206 on Abana Path by the golf course. I don't have my appt with the Design team til September, but look forward to meeting all of you when my place is completed! It feels good to know I will soon be a Villager! Had an awesome time and love the golf carts!

hotrodgirl and all you Fernandina people -- everything is falling into place for all of you. Are there model homes to drive by in Fernandina? I will be in TV next month, and love to look at the new construction.

Schaumburger, there are models to look at in Sanibel, almost all of them! If you contact a sales agent (I had Kathy Ward) they will take you to see them and compare. You can always drive around the streets on your own to see the different styles, but it's nice to see the interiors. I was lucky in that Kathy listened to my comments and in the end came up with the best solution for me. I wish you lots of luck and hope you find the style you want! Good hunting!!

Last October when I was last in TV, I ventured down one of the streets in Sanibel that had several model homes on the street. I don't think anyone had actually moved into Sanibel yet, and I was sure I was going to get shooed away. I will be sure to go a couple of open houses in Sanibel when I am back in TV next month.

Sigh... I feel a traitor! I have to report that I am no longer a Fernandinan. I originally was in unit 206, lot 19 on Abana Path in a nice sized lot. But I had only a partial view of the golf course. When the new section opened, I called my agent and she was already there taking pictures! So I have moved across the way and am now a Gilchristian (is that right? Gilchristonian?) However, no matter what village we live in, we are all still Villagers at heart! I look forward to meeting you in the future! Happy days ahead!:icon_wink:

We just returned from our whirlwind of a LSV and are excited to report that we put a deposit on lot 124 in Fernandina 205. We are scheduled to be down for our Design meeting on November 17 and are planning on building a Lantana. Although we are a 2-3 years away from being full time TV residents, we know that we will make good use of the time we do spend in "paradise"! We have met and continue to meet so many wonderful and helpful people, that the decision for us was easy. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hi! My design team meeting is Sept 6th and I am also building a Lantana! Originally I was in Fernandina, but now have a different lot just north in Gilchrist! Are you all planning any bump outs, etc? I plan to extend the garage and lanai, and want to see if I can make a design change inside... We'll see how that goes! Luck to you and PM me if you want to meet up and compare notes!

We have reserved a lot in section 208 and will meet with designers in October. Building a Zinnia on Thunderbird way. Getting used to saying that. Sounds like a cheap wine. Hope to be in TV next Feb.:)

Hi All you Fernandinians,
Try saying that 3 times fast..
I am really excited to becoming a permanent resident of TV. Unfortunately it looks like 2 years until I can do it permanently.. WOW. how do you make 2 years go like one..The tunnel does have a light but it is dim right now.
I don't play golf because the last time I played ( 30 years ago ) the person told me never to return..Guess I can only improve..lol..:laugh:
Looking forward to meeting and greeting new people and to expand our circle of friends.
We will be down in November for our design consult and hope to be built by February.
Furniture will follow. Then we will follow the furniture. Then the fun will begin.

We built a Zinnia on Lot 27 in Unit 208 and closed at the end of June - the whole process from the design to the construction to the closing was extremely positive - no surprises, just all good. Good luck to all - see you in Fernandina!

I was invited to see the most amazing home today in Fernandina. It is a GORGEOUS stretched Lantana...and it is just decorated beautifully with art from all over the world and it is owned by a marvelous dog named Duncan. I had such a lovely time with Duncan, his warm and witty owner and another equally lovely lady from Sanibel.

It sure is just perfect over there in Fernandina. I enjoyed myself immensely.

How was your design meeting? Ours is end of July? We're building a Lilac. Did you do any upgrades? I like getting the golf car garage already on there.

We have our designer meeting on 10/29, will be moving in March to Allaire Loop, can't wait!

We are also on Allaire Loop (lot 124) with a design meeting on 11/17. Very exciting times ahead for all of us!
A-4 Skyhawk has been diligently compiling a spreadsheet of the Fernandina, Gilchrist, Charlotte and Sanibel "newbies" so that we can keep in contact and share info with our new neighbors. If you are interested you can send him a PM with your info to be added to the "list".

Our official closing was yesterday, 2/11/13, but since we had to close by mail it won't become "official" until they receive our closing package, and of course our $$$, later this morning! :a040: We will be moving into 1309 Allaire Loop - part time for the balance of this year and the full time sometime in 2014.
Bill and I are grateful to all of you for your wealth of information in helping us to locate a lot, design and ultimately build our home. We are planning to come down later this month to start settling in and can't wait to meet our new neighbors and friends and in TV! Thank you all!
