Of course so did everyone else here in Syracuse who thinks I'm crazy for moving to Florida.

Now I'm getting e-mails with the old " I Told you So!

They really do not, this was the man attacking the alligator and losing.

He's VERY lucky that he got away with just the wound on his arm !

OMG and this dope works at an aquarium??? He is so stupid I was actually routing for the Gator. lol

It looks like the man was trying to steal the gator's sweater. I would be pretty unhappy too if someone tried to take a sweater off my shoulders.

Can't blame Mr. Gator for fighting back. The guy was lucky the gator's self defense retaliation was not continued and this story didn't have a tragic ending. Remember...these creatures were here long before us.

The gator acted as any "wild" animal will do when cornered and threatened...!!!! Why can't people just leave these creatures alone!!! Especially here in TV. See them, Admire them, Leave Them Alone!!!!

Humans also attack when cornered and threatened. When we were young, we learned The American Indian were considered savages. All those old television shows told us that. As we grew older most of realized, "It was the white man who killed their buffalo for the fun of it and wiped out a civilization." This was the Indian's place and when the white man came over and started to take over the land and kill the redskins and rape their woman, can you blame them for fighting back? Leave the alligator alone.

I should point out that this was one of our native North Carolina alligators.
Of course, when they get older, they retire and swim to Florida where they are known as Frogators. :1rotfl:

Showed the video to my wife, and when she heard that the guy is a scientist at an aquarium, she said, "What was he thinking ? He almost became an exhibit at the aquarium."

Seems like he straddled the gator, and threw the sweater across the gator's eyes.

CAUTION - about 2/3 of the way into the interview, they show his wounds.

Looked to me like self defense on the gator's part. I have no idea what that guy was thinking.

Maybe the sweater was a hoodie in disguise? Gotta call Heraldo.

What a bone head. This man was as lucky as anyone could be. If the gator would have followed up, this guy would have be missing his arm, if not his life. What was he going to do, should his sweater trick work? Should he have pulled off this elfated and poorly planed (ya'll watch this,somebody hold my beer) and pinned the gator. How in the world did he think he was going to get back off the gator? You must remember, his whole plan hinged on the sweater trick.
