A memorable day

"Good bye! says the nevrous mother as she walks out the front door. Hankie in hand tears streaming down the face.

Ive never left them overnight with anyone before.! "See you in a couple of days!" Don't worry have fun we shout!

The door closes. There standing in front of us on wobbiling legs are the twins. Nate and Brynn, just started walking and are now mobile. 14 months old.

They look up at us with those little eyes. I turn to Ruth and say. Ohhhhh Boy what do we do now! It's going to be a interesting weekend!

You guys fill in the rest. The saga continues!

Have fun! By the time their parents come back, you're going to be the one needing a nap....:laugh:

Are you keeping your grandbabies this weekend? Oh, boy. Or should I say, oh boy twice!!! Have fun and make wonderful memories. Please, share with us how it goes.

wendyquat 05-26-2012 09:11 PM

Treasure every moment! It doesn't last long. Soon their lives will be filled with school, games, and girls and you'll wish for those "wobbly legs" once again. Trust me, I know!:sigh:

Do not complain. Believe me. In two weeks they will be in college. It recently happened to us.

But....the memories are there for always.

They got their bottles before bedtime. Then Grandma got her's LOL!:1rotfl: I must have thrown out the manual Skyguy after mine left home! Somehow I don't remember those days.

We did the PeeWee Big adventure trip to the Zoo. Then to Quaker Steak and Lube for supper. Its a CarGuy thing. Babies on sensory overload with all the Motocycles hanging from the ceiling with the lights and action. So darn cool watching them. Like baby computers just absorbing all that goes on.

Maybe, if the crib is made in the shape of a car like this one!

babysitting

Herv & Rute, I was watching my grandnephew for a short amount of time during the holidays. Joey is 18 months old and he was all over the house. He just loved to touch everything he could get his hands on. It was really fun keeping an eye on him and at the same time very exhausting to say the least. I don't know how my sister in law keeps after him. She babysits him every Friday. Enjoy your grandkids now because they grow up so fast. Have fun this weekend. Patti & Carmen

Thanks,

Amazing how fast they move from one light socket to another power cord! Over to the Kitchen cupboards door handles etc!

You experienced Grandparents must be getting a loaugh outta this.

Mom and Dan enroute!

Reminds me of my first course in electronics.....I used to stick paperclips in the wall sockets when very young (some killjoy then invented plastic inserts to stop that education!). I know a lot more about electronics these days (like what not to do)!

Herv, I'll bet you thought retirement was going to be easy!
