Patriot Voices
For you Rick Santorum fans, he announced his new conservative group. Patriot Voices. He plans on rallying conservatives around Mr Romney.

Quote:
I think that is so hypocritical that Santorum would rally conservatives around Romney after calling him the worst possible choice for beating Pres. Obama. |
Not sure if Mitt Romney shares a lot of those ideas.

Who says Santorum doesn't still believe what you say above, and that he should be the candidate? But the die is cast. There can be no doubt that Santorum believes Romney would be a far better President for the next four years than "The Amateur". It a positive thing for a man to get up and dust himself off, and fight for the greater good despite some misgivings. You say hypocritical; I call it character. |

Again, we ignore history and facts !!! Recall Secy Clinton telling us all that Obama was not qualified to take that emergency call at 3 AM ? Or this quote in one debate "I was fighting against those ideas when you were practicing law and representing your contributor, Rezko, in his slum landlord business in inner city Chicago. " Either that makes Secy Clinton " so hypocritical" OR the people who make such claims to be simple party tools and unaware ones at that. |

Mature voters realize that the life of our nation is what's at stake, not a single candidate. Give Obama four more years and it will take him and the chicago machine only about two years to finish off the job.
It goes without saying that Santorum loves this nation more than he does his or Romney's candidacy or win. |
I will be glad to see Obama go back to Chicago with the rest of his crooked party members.Sure he will pardon his buddy Rezko on the way out, who gave him a sweetheart deal. Get back to screw up the state even more. For most of my life had to put up with the chicago way of kick backs and favors.

Of course it is hypocritical..my point would be why you would bring it up since it is something that pretty much happens every election and made newsworthy because of the presidential election, but is surely not unique and wonder why it is so unique to you ? I guess you are just ignoring the fact that Secy Clinton called Obama incompetent.....etc. But again, how can you ask the question if you understand the way things are, and then say dont talk about anyone else but this particular primary...that does not make any sense at all. |

Mr. Santorum, like all polictians, has learned the old saw about flies and honey. He can gain ground on his agenda only by supporting the party.

I am in agreement with you on NOTHING !!!!! |

The US Constitution guarantees this right and it works!" I thought we definitely could agree on that even though our viewpoints are sometimes at odds. |

I find your posts to be generally insulting...your name calling and accusations and your flip attitude about anything. You have said many times that you feel it is appropriate to call people by any name you wish if they happen to be in public life. I could not disagree more with you as I feel that character is the most important thing in life and folks just do not vent in the manner that you do, and make light of everything and everybody, Why am I saying this now..you posted a link and made some accusations. You specifically asked me to read it in an unbiased manner. I did all of that thinking that maybe you were really going to engage in a conversation on something. I read it three times to insure I understood what was your point. I then did some research and shared it with you and made absolutely no smart cracks...even agreed with you on some items..nothing snarky or wise. I posted links to the most uncontroversial link possible....the CBO. Your response was a flip remark from MASH and a flippant attitude with no regard to the response as if you sit on some kind of throne and look down on me. Making me look like an idiot is not something that I like and you did that and seemed to be peacock proud of it Should I be that sensitive...no, but you have done it before, not only to me, but that was just the end of the line for me. You, and others have chided me much in the past.....I have taken it....but you really posted DIRECTLY to ME as if I were some kind of idiot and I really felt set up. YOU asked ME to give a link from you the proper read and insure I did not flip it off as bias...I did that...and then get flipped off by you as if you had some magic hold on everyone. You discuss me on PM, and as you know I had to ask you to remove a public note on your profile which referred to me by name. That is your right to do I suppose, but I do have a limit and I suppose I have reached it. |

Politics are politics whether in Washington or in a corporation. And so while reasonable people disagree and advance their plans. programs, best plays etc ( their beliefs ) there comes a time when a decision is made and those opposed join in to support the winning inititative to ensure its success. It is the human experience and a natural progression for the advancement of the better idea. Hence Santorum is no more hypocritical than any of us. Actually he shows himself to be a mature adult and a better man for it. Isn't it a fact that none of us cares much for a bad loser.

Not that I ever thought I'd be defending Santorum but this is the second time I've had to point this out.
That comment from Santorum was taken WAY out of context. What he said was that Romney was the worst Republican candidate to pit against Obama ON THE SUBJECT OF HEALTH-CARE - because Romney had enacted his plan in Massachusetts that became a model for Obama's plan. In other words, Santorum was talking about ONE PARTICULAR ISSUE - not the entirety of the candidate's views. |

clarity and specifics do not allow deniability the enemy of too many Obama supporters.
It is not just limited to this forum. On other forums, meetings or the bar it seems to be the preferred mode of communicating when ever trying to discuss an issue. That plus opposition bashing, name calling, Bush bashing and never ever staying on the point....coincidence? I prefer, right or wrong, one's personal opinions.....not party parroting. btk |
