Black Panther intimidation?
I just looked at the YouTube video of the two "security" guards at a Philly polling place. They were intimidating white voters? No, I do not think so - you can see white voters coming out of the building. No black person said anything intimidating in the video. According to the Christian Science Monitor, this was the only Black Panther "intimidation" that was reported - I think I read it correctly. One polling place - 2 "security guards" - massive intimidation, I don't think so. No one's civil rights were violated as far as I can tell. |

If you noticed, I said, "...as far as I can tell." True, I did see only the one YouTube clip - but did you see anymore than that to show I am wrong? Were there more documented allegations that I missed and you saw? Truly, I would like to know and that is not sarcasm. On another note, I played Mira Mesa today for the first time since it has been re-done. That is a fun little course - but the yardage markers are inaccurate. |
buggyone - the cs monitor article is from 9/24/2010 - why is this coming up now?

"The episode—which Bartle Bull, a former civil rights lawyer and publisher of the left-wing Village Voice, calls "the most blatant form of voter intimidation I've ever seen"—began on Election Day 2008. Mr. Bull and others witnessed two Black Panthers in paramilitary garb at a polling place near downtown Philadelphia. (Some of this behavior is on YouTube.) One of them, they say, brandished a nightstick at the entrance and pointed it at voters and both made racial threats. Mr. Bull says he heard one yell "You are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker!" It is ironic that the very Ethnic and Religious background that has taught love, respect and tolerance is what divides us today and causes us fear and distrust because of those very same differences.

Reason I posted this was that someone else in the past few days had listed some of the "crimes" that Eric Holder had let go - and one was dropping any case against the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation. I did not know how many instances there had been so I looked it up on the computer. I only found this one and as I said, it does not look as though it was clear cut intimidation to me - especially with white voters coming out of the polling place.
I was wondering if anyone had anymore instances that I did not find to show wider spread Black Panther intimidation. Since Holder's name was attached, I wanted to see how true this charge was or if it is just more GOP fluff. |
I would like to know exactly what thread that was on, because I totally missed a listing of cases that Holder had "let go". It would be a long llist of course as he is attorney general, or was it a list of just racial cases ? In any case, if someone could refer me to that particular thread in the last few days.

This thread did send me out to check out the New Black Panther website and a few other things and this group is scary, at least in my opinion..obviously some do not agree, but I find them so.

My game is suffering badly so I am going to take a break and re-group. By the way never played Mira Mesa, in fact I just play Lopez last Thursday for the first time. I gnerally play the courses from Bacall on up. By the way I purchased a Golf Buddy the new small talking version that informs you of distanced from, the front, middle and back of the greens. I love it because it has helped me with proper club selections and also because it can be updated free of charge. Now I need to learn how to play golf. "Hit them on the screws". See another good "old saw". P.S. You still recognize it as sarcasm. Personal Best Regards: |

in philly or not - i would not venture to enter a polling place with the likes of those two guys in the video out in front! |

Yes, that is poor grammar but a two part question. Please do not get me wrong. The New Black Panthers are definitely not good guys. Their advertising a bounty on Zimmerman was 100% wrong and I would call it a criminal action. I have never heard of Philadelphia being referred to as Germantown. |
Yes.
Germantown is now a part of Philadelphia, North-West. I go there each Christmas season as my maternal grandparents are buried in the Philadelphia National Cemetary in Germantown. Our old house was torn down to make more Dormatoriws for LaSalle College. Lived right accross from the hospital. My native Wilmington wife is scared, but I like to look and remenis. My late mother also did. For those interested, found some websites with old Germantown pictures from another website. FRIENDS OF IMMACULATE PHOTO ALBUMS |

HEY BUGGY!!; I'd like to stand across the street while you walk into a polling booth with this guy who calls himself General T.A.C.O. standing in front holding a truncheon as was the Black Panther in Philadelphia. Let me say this - I did say in my posting that I am not a fan of the Black Panthers and they certainly did a criminal thing by posting a reward for Zimmerman. Go back and read that - or have Mrs. Lion read it to you. No, I would not be intimidated by a black guy with a nightstick in the way the "security team" was shown in the video. He, in the YOUTUBE video, was not acting in an intimidating manner. There were white folks coming in and out of the polling place not being disturbed by the "security team". I never was registered to vote in Philly so you never would have seen me walk past this one situation. Also, as I asked in an earlier posting about this, were there more than this one place where supposed "intimidation" took place or not? If you listen to the yelping of the right wing wubers, it was a wide spread tactic all across the country. Which was it - one place or wide spread? |

People who say "nothin' to see here, ignore these paramilitary types calling for blood" when it comes to this organization just disturb me, is all. I see you're still doing it. Liberals are true sheeple to the cause. P.S. I just realized that you probably didn't even check out the new story on the Panthers that I linked. That's why you said nothing about it. |
This is from the Southern Poverty Law Center that is highly touted by liberals on this site...at least has been....
"The New Black Panther Party is a virulently racist and anti-Semitic organization whose leaders have encouraged violence against whites, Jews and law enforcement officers. Founded in Dallas, the group today is especially active on the East Coast, from Boston to Jacksonville, Fla. The group portrays itself as a militant, modern-day expression of the black power movement (it frequently engages in armed protests of alleged police brutality and the like), but principals of the original Black Panther Party of the 1960s and 1970s— a militant, but non-racist, left-wing organization — have rejected the new Panthers as a "black racist hate group" and contested their hijacking of the Panther name and symbol." New Black Panther Party | Southern Poverty Law Center A few quotes from these folks that the "yelping right wing wubers" as you refer to them are a bit concerned about.... “Black America, you must decide who will best represent you in 2012. You must decide if you will choose the ballot as a means to change, or the bullet,” he wrote, saying that "demanding change does come by any means necessary.” "The New Black Panther Party (NBPP) chairman wants to remind Attorney General Eric Holder and President Barack Obama that their organization “delivered” the president and his administration to office. The New Black Panthers, who recently espoused their desire to hang whites and openly meet with a Holocaust-denying terror regime, believes Obama and Holder “owes them” a few favors." New Black Panthers Say They ‘Delivered’ Obama, Holder Into Office; Owed ‘Favors’ | Video | TheBlaze.com "I don’t really know, to be honest, whether President Obama and Eric Holder can hold out. I mean, they held out long enough, but I don’t know if they can hold out in this environment where they are seriously trying to make some concessions to the Republicans who whooped their asses in this midterm election.” Do not want to be a "yelping right wing yuber" but.... |

In Post #15, I stated, "Please do not get me wrong. The New Black Panthers are definitely not good guys. Their advertising a bounty on Zimmerman was 100% wrong and I would call it a criminal action."
I do not condone anything that the New Black Panthers have done or write about and I never said I did. I stated earlier and still stand by it that the ONE incident I have found on YouTube and is the only incident I have seen referenced to voter intimidation DID NOT look that way to me. I saw white voters coming out of the polling precinct and did not see intimidation. The guy with the nightstick did not threaten anyone on camera so as far as I know, did not threaten anyone when they tried to enter the building. The meaning of "wuber" is not available for you. It is part of the glossary in the 2012-16 Alinski Handbook for Radicals. You will have to get your copy when you pay your dues and get your Blue ID Card (with no photograph). |

Ever notice how it's always the same 6 guys in every New Black Panther Party story?
Ever notice how you never see a rally of large numbers of New Black Panthers? Because there are, apparently, hardly any. |
