Ted
Went to see Ted this afternoon at LSL. For those who might be offended by profanity I would recommend that you not see this movie or bring any underage grandchildren with you. :swear: A couple of people walked out after 10 minutes or so. Normally I don't laugh out loud at a movie but this one was an exception. It cracked me up at times. One of the scenes is going to rank in the top 5 of my all time funniest scenes. That was when Ted was being interviewed by the grocery store manager for a job. Even now just thinking about it brings a grin to my face. It ranks right up there with the campfire scene from Blazing Saddles. If you're familiar with that scene you have an idea of my sense of humor. :1rotfl:

My friend's daughter and her boyfriend went to see it and they thought it was very funny.....on Long Island, the papers are saying it is very vulgar but hysterical....I think I may give it a try.

Blazing Saddles is one of my favorite comedies. |
Very funny-loved Ted!!!!
I saw Ted today at 10:40 AM. I have to say that I have not laughed this hard in years. It was nasty, raunchy, obscene and filthy. The film made fun of Jews, Middle Eastern people, gays, Christians, Indians and all others, (in case I forgot some).
I loved EVERY minute of it. I am not your run of the mill teenager. A woman, 58 yrs old, spending 12 years in the US Navy, nothing really offends me here. When I walked into the theater, there was a group of women seated above me, maybe 12 ladies. Unfortunately, they all walked out when Ted was being interviewed at the grocery store. I thought it was hilarious. No sense of humor. If you go see it, be aware every other word is f**k, sh*t, and worse, but the jokes are so funny! |

Thought it was hilarious. Wife and I also sing the "thunder buddy song". Great fun. Don't take life too seriously. imho...This was a great escape from the realities of life. i.e. politics, illnesses, ambulance chasing attorneys as seen on TV ads and anything else that might raise your blood pressure...

ok now we have to go see it
|
I saw the trailer. That is one potty mouthed teddy bear....but it looked really funny.
I am gonna drag the crew to see it. |
I guess I have a dirty mind. I thought Bridesmaids was one of the funniest movies ever. The people with me were furious because I dragged them to see it. Now I need to see "Ted." Alone, I fear.
|
I'm going to see it again. I'm sure I'll enjoy it as much as the first time I saw it.

I understand completely. It is on the list of movies for us to see. I guess we share the same sense of humor!.
|
Mike and I just saw Ted...it was hilarious! Not for everyone I'm sure, but we enjoyed and it was laugh out loud for us, too.
|
I thought the movie was super vulgar and the only funny scenes were in the movie trailer. Stayed to the end, because I knew sooner or later Ted was going to get the stuffing beat out of him!! Worth it to watch that happen! Don't waste your money, IMHO.

We went to see this movie last night and I have to say it was filled with what some would consider totally inappropriate themed humor. My stomach is so sore from laughing so damned hard. Funny movie.
|
Went again with a dear friend
Now mind you, like I said before, this movie is not for children. Every other word is a swear word or an inappropriate innuendo. Here comes Grandma, granddad and a teenage girl (maybe 13). I was waiting for the 'Walk Out' and it happened sooner than I thought. The group of 12 women last week lasted a little longer than that!:pepper2:

Just saw it a second time and it was just as funny as the first time. However, my wife didn't want to see it again so waited for me at Barnes & Noble with her latte. You can't please everybody.

Worth one viewing...not two
Hubby and I saw the movie last week and we thought it was funny. Vulgar, yes but it was funny. Believe it or now it may even bring a tear to your eye. Who ever thought we'd be rooting for a teddy bear! Now when it thunders my husband and I say we will be thunder buddies!!
|
Ted has many laugh out loud funny parts, and overall I'd give it one thumb up. But the editor should have cut about twenty minutes from the film. It has too many places where the plot drags along and you want to say "c'mon, let's move on". The whole section on the kidnapping is ridiculous, but the scene with Ted and the hookers is worth the price of admission. But not if you are a prude . . . .
|
Ted on DVD.
Needed an escape from reality today and Ted was a good solution. It is probably one of the least politically correct movies I have ever seen but did find many parts hilarious. Does have a very vulgar and sophomoric sense of humor in it though.
|
Sorry folks, I have to disagree. I am not a prude, but I thought Ted was awful...not funny...no endearing characters.... When we saw it, no one seemed to be laughing.
|
Watched TED on Demand TV last night, What a riot....we laughed so hard. I want a teddy bear for Christmas. LOL
|
I'm a prude! The language would be enough to keep me away! To each his own!
