Had a guy ask me today ,,, his girlfriend is moving in with him,, she is from Texas,,, how does he get a resident pass for her? She will be living full time with him,,,, of course my question was.. Why live in sin ,, make her your bride. Indicatdedd would mess up her pensions ,,, who am I to play pastor? How does he make this happen,,,, I can tell this I look forward to her showing up for water volley ball ,,, she is a looker!

Non-owner residents wishing to obtain a Villages I.D. must first establish permanent residency at the homeowner’s Villages address. This is done through the District Customer Service Center located at 3201 Wedgewood Lane. For additional information, please call (352) 753-4508.
Non-owner IDs expire every 3-years, at which time residency must be re- established and a new ID purchased.
Establishing Permanent Residency
A mandatory Florida Drivers License or Florida Identification Card issued to the non-owner listing the homeowner’s Villages address is required. In addition to the license or identification card, the applicant must have at least two or more of the following documents listing the applicant’s name and the homeowner’s Villages address:
Bank Account Statement
Payroll Receipt
Social Security Statement
U.S. Post Office Verification
Utility Bill - Electric, Gas, House Phone, Cell Phone, Water Vehicle Registration
Voter Registration
The homeowner must accompany the applicant with the above mentioned documents to the District Customer Service Center. For any questions, please call us at (352) 753-4508 or visit us at 3201 Wedgewood Lane.

They will get a blue Villages card indicating a resident not listed on the deed.Just as good as the green one

He could also get a renters ID for $50 for a year. Girl friends come and go, so might be the safest route.

A renter's ID won't work because the homeowner must turn in their ID to get their tenant an ID.

The green Villages ID cards have your block/lot number on them as well as your ID number. Are you required to have a new Villages ID card when you sell one house and move elsewhere in The Villages? I suppose you would also have to update your Florida driver license and any other official document that would have your address? Am I correct in this assumption?

We had to turn in our villages ID cards when we sold our home in Hadley and we were issued new ones when our new home in Laurel Valley was closed on. We had some kind of interim resident guest passes if I remember correctly.

graciegirl 07-12-2012 08:56 AM

Did you catch the part where he said she was a " looker"?

Sometimes it's good to vent.

My wife has anoxic encophalopathy (AE), brain damage from lack of oxygen. She is not listed as co-owner of the house or car, she does not have a drivers license, and no bills are in her name. I did get her a FL ID card and she has a blue Villages ID, that has to be renewed every 3 years.

Villageshooter 07-12-2012 08:42 PM

thank you
