Obama got the Affordable Care Act made law and it has been proved constitutional by the US Supreme Court - even with a conservative Chief Justice.
Osama bin Laden killed during Pres. Obama's term of office. American automobile industry saved and millions of auto worker jobs saved. ________________________________ Why not ask what Mitt Romney did for the state of Massachusetts when he was Governor? Imposed "RomneyCare" which required everyone to buy health insurance or pay a penalty and called it his signature piece of legislation. Banned assault rifles. Raised taxes and fees. Approval rating of 34% when he left office. Used his veto power about 800 times and got overturned almost every time by the legislature. Romney As Governor: 800 Vetoes And One Big Deal : NPR |
Don't forget the School Lunch Police that the current Administration has inspired.
U.S. schoolchildren now subjected to sack lunch searches by government agents who enforce nutritional insanity |
Buggyone--- You praise Obama for Obama care and then turn around and criticize Romnay for Romney care. Is it a good thing or not??

The left loves to lie and lie and lie. They think by calling the constitutional traitor a "conservative" it helps their argument. It's pretty silly. |

Yes, The Affordable Care Act is an excellent piece of legislation and we, as seniors, should feel very fortunate to have it in place. Can you imagine trying to find health insurance as a senior and having a pre-existing condition? You would be turned down by everyone out there. |

Anyhow, the tax will apply ONLY to those Americans who do not want to buy health insurance. It will NOT apply to you, Richie. I think that it was George W. Bush who called John Roberts a "strict constitiutional constructionist". Now, you are saying that George W. Bush lied to you? He did lie to about weapons of mass destruction being in Iraq. Gee, maybe he lied about John Roberts, too. |
Like I said before P.T. Barnum was right.

You cannot predict what a person will do with any definitiveness. Your twisting this into a "truth or lie" spin is plain idiotic. |

You are absolutely right, President Obama did save the United States when his administration was responsible for saving the American auto industry. Just think how many millions of jobs would have been lost if the auto industry went bankrupt. |
He robbed bond holders and rewarded unions,Real fair to those holding them. Some were lifetime gm employees and needed the income.

if Buggyone is correct, I may change my vote from Romney to Obama. Thanks for the information and posts by Buggyone. Keep up the good work.

Maybe the Unions would have suffered greatly though, and that is what the bailout was all about. Quit lying to the people. |

This was made clear when GM was not allowed to reopen its non-union plant in Moraine, MI. even though it wished to do so and none of the people employees there could transfer their seniority to another GM plant. UAW Freezes Rival Out of Rebound - WSJ.com |

I predict my friend Buggy will ignore this post and then post his leftist talking points exactly the same in a later post. That's his way. |

This is too funny. |
"This was made clear when GM was not allowed to reopen its non-union plant in Moraine, MI. even though it wished to do so and none of the people employees there could transfer their seniority to another GM plant."
_____________________________ First, Moraine is NOT in Michigan but is in Ohio. Secondly, the reason cited by GM for the closing was, " "On Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008, GM Chairman Rick Wagoner announced the Moraine plant would close in December, citing high fuel prices and decreased demand for the SUV and trucks produced by the plant." I was not able to read the WSJ article as it is a subscription site. Anyhow, the attached link will explain the auto industry better than I ever could. Of course, the wubers will not believe one word of it as their collective heads are buried in the sand. http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/defa...t_06_01_11.pdf |

BTW, Wuber is an Italian sausage company but as always liberals find that name-calling is their most effective method of communication. When facts fail, resort to emotions and name calling, the usual liberal method. |

hulababy: Thank you for the statistics. It demonstrates how the spin doctors can conceal truths with disatractions such s romney is too rich
BBQman: our post on GM is spot on stockholder and creditors rights were ignored. This is the sort of thing a marxist nation does. GM and chrsyler would have done well under chapter 11. As it turns out they ended up with joint venture etc with foreign auot makers |
does anybody remember the subject of being too rich coming up for discussion when John Kerry was a candidate?
Or how about JFK? Both of these guys could buy Romney out. Just another distraction. Has anybody noticed how non of the political commercials have anything to do with real issues? If I were in the auto industry I would find it very offensive to see and hear the fiction being spread about Obama saving the auto industry. He GAVE a bunch of money to GM auto executives....not paid back yet....you know the company that has a huge percent of their manufacturing in China. The dems go around shooting arrows into barns and trees....then go up and paint a bulls eye around the arrow....and then go on to harp about how they are the only ones able to hit the target....with the help of the one for one amplification of the media and the loyal supporters (no matter what). This forum has been losing it's substance value quite consistently and is now to the point where the once upon time look at is as entertainment has turned out to be a waste of time as well. btk |
I'm getting distracted. :icon_wink:
