I'd say he's done quite enough.

Guest 07-21-2012 08:59 AM

Obama got the Affordable Care Act made law and it has been proved constitutional by the US Supreme Court - even with a conservative Chief Justice.

Osama bin Laden killed during Pres. Obama's term of office.

American automobile industry saved and millions of auto worker jobs saved.

Why not ask what Mitt Romney did for the state of Massachusetts when he was Governor?

Imposed "RomneyCare" which required everyone to buy health insurance or pay a penalty and called it his signature piece of legislation.

Banned assault rifles.

Raised taxes and fees.

Approval rating of 34% when he left office.

Used his veto power about 800 times and got overturned almost every time by the legislature.

U.S. schoolchildren now subjected to sack lunch searches by government agents who enforce nutritional insanity

It's still a lie. Injustice Roberts unconstitutionally changed the law to transform a unconstitutionally congressional mandate into a "tax". This "tax" is to this day is denied by Obama as being a tax, although this unconstitutional law will go forward until it is repealed.

The left loves to lie and lie and lie. They think by calling the constitutional traitor a "conservative" it helps their argument. It's pretty silly.

No, Sally Jo, I did not mean it as being critical. I meant it as to show that Mr. Romney's signature piece of legislation as governor of Massachesetts was the same signature piece of legislation that Pres. Obama got signed into law. I find it rather strange that Mr. Romney has such a hard time with the Affordable Care Act when he praised it in his own state.

Yes, The Affordable Care Act is an excellent piece of legislation and we, as seniors, should feel very fortunate to have it in place. Can you imagine trying to find health insurance as a senior and having a pre-existing condition? You would be turned down by everyone out there.

Chief Justice Roberts called it a tax instead of a penalty. It was not the intent of the President to have it be a tax but is the interpretation of the Court. That is their job, Richie.

Anyhow, the tax will apply ONLY to those Americans who do not want to buy health insurance. It will NOT apply to you, Richie.

I think that it was George W. Bush who called John Roberts a "strict constitiutional constructionist". Now, you are saying that George W. Bush lied to you? He did lie to about weapons of mass destruction being in Iraq. Gee, maybe he lied about John Roberts, too.

Joe, this link you gave was the MOST RIDICULOUS one I have read on TOTV. It started out by saying the one incident in North Carolina was a state employee who searched school lunches. It was a volunteer parent at the school. She made a mistake and the school principal admitted the error. The other premises made in the link were way over the top.

I know you put it on here just to get a laugh. It did.

Hope to see you soon in The Villages again.

George W. Bush could only hope he chose a justice that was going to follow the Constitution and not try to "make law". His faith in InJustice Roberts was betrayed when InJustice Roberts betrayed the Constitution.

You cannot predict what a person will do with any definitiveness.

Your twisting this into a "truth or lie" spin is plain idiotic.

I looked at your Bill O'Really(?) clip and found that he was just blowing smoke as usual. He did not know the person who decided the girl's lunch was not good enough was a VOLUNTEER PARENT acting as a classroom aide. O'Really(?) said it was a school administrator. Look it up on the internet. It was a VOLUNTEER classroom aide. Anyhow, we all know it is a bogus story and was a single isolated incident.

Totally agree that the OP's credibility has been not only tarnished but completely rusted away by the statement of Obama signing 928 Executive Orders and Junior Bush signed only 25 or so.

You are absolutely right, President Obama did save the United States when his administration was responsible for saving the American auto industry. Just think how many millions of jobs would have been lost if the auto industry went bankrupt.

pure crap. The auto industry would have straightened itself out. It might not have been as big as it is for a long time, but it would not have disappeared.

Maybe the Unions would have suffered greatly though, and that is what the bailout was all about.

Quit lying to the people.

The automotive industry would have continued and General Motors and Chrysler would still be with us. They would have gone through bankruptcy and the bond holders would have owned them. Just as Sears, K-Mart, United Airlines, Delta, Northwest and American Airlines are still with us. What Obama did was put out eighty billion dollars of taxpayer dollars that we will never see again to buy union votes.

This was made clear when GM was not allowed to reopen its non-union plant in Moraine, MI. even though it wished to do so and none of the people employees there could transfer their seniority to another GM plant.

"This was made clear when GM was not allowed to reopen its non-union plant in Moraine, MI. even though it wished to do so and none of the people employees there could transfer their seniority to another GM plant."
_____________________________

First, Moraine is NOT in Michigan but is in Ohio.

Secondly, the reason cited by GM for the closing was, " "On Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008, GM Chairman Rick Wagoner announced the Moraine plant would close in December, citing high fuel prices and decreased demand for the SUV and trucks produced by the plant."

I was not able to read the WSJ article as it is a subscription site.

Anyhow, the attached link will explain the auto industry better than I ever could. Of course, the wubers will not believe one word of it as their collective heads are buried in the sand.

My error is saying Michigan and not Ohio. The first two words of the referenced article were, "Moraine, Ohio." But it is all too funny that the only source you cite for Obama's role in 'saving' the American Auto Industry is his self serving White House PR site. A more unobjective source would be impossible to find. You could not have made my point any better.

BTW, Wuber is an Italian sausage company but as always liberals find that name-calling is their most effective method of communication. When facts fail, resort to emotions and name calling, the usual liberal method.

hulababy: Thank you for the statistics. It demonstrates how the spin doctors can conceal truths with disatractions such s romney is too rich

BBQman: our post on GM is spot on stockholder and creditors rights were ignored. This is the sort of thing a marxist nation does. GM and chrsyler would have done well under chapter 11. As it turns out they ended up with joint venture etc with foreign auot makers

Guest 07-22-2012 08:10 AM

does anybody remember the subject of being too rich coming up for discussion when John Kerry was a candidate?

Or how about JFK?

Both of these guys could buy Romney out.

Just another distraction.

Has anybody noticed how non of the political commercials have anything to do with real issues?

If I were in the auto industry I would find it very offensive to see and hear the fiction being spread about Obama saving the auto industry. He GAVE a bunch of money to GM auto executives....not paid back yet....you know the company that has a huge percent of their manufacturing in China.

The dems go around shooting arrows into barns and trees....then go up and paint a bulls eye around the arrow....and then go on to harp about how they are the only ones able to hit the target....with the help of the one for one amplification of the media and the loyal supporters (no matter what).

This forum has been losing it's substance value quite consistently and is now to the point where the once upon time look at is as entertainment has turned out to be a waste of time as well.
