VP
Almost time for Willard to reveal his choice for VP - assuming he has already made the decision.
Is it a woman? He needs a female on the ticket. Is it a hispanic? He needs a hispanic on the ticket. Is it a hispanic woman? Has Martinez been vetted? Is it a tea person? He needs to appease that group. Is it a person from a swing state? Ohio and Florida are the two largest swing states in play and Obama is leading in both states. Pundits are saying Portman - a "safe" white guy. |
we can be sure that no matter who he picks will be better than Biden!!
(this was meant to be humorous as well.......but true in addition!) btk |
Got to win Florida----Jeb Bush (dark horse) or Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan too Polarizing also wrong State and Christy from the wrong State.

Seven speakers for the RNC were announced on Monday. They are Gov Rick Scott, most unpopular governor in the country; Senator John McCain; Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee; SC Gov Nikki Haley; OH Gov John Kasich; NM Gov Susana Martinez and Former Sec of State Condoleeza Rice.
Unless the Romney campaign is throwing us a ringer, we can eliminate Martinez, Haley and Rice. That leaves Sen Rob Portman (R-OH), Sen Marco Rubio (R-FL), Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI), and Former Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) as the most speculated candidates. I'll stick with my original choice of Portman who might help Romney with 1% to 2% vote in Ohio, which Romney desperately needs to win. The big question is: will Sarah Palin be invited to speak at the convention and what time slot will she be allotted? |

I will watch the RNC on the night when Junior and Dick speak - it will be interesting to hear what they have to say. |

but your question about what time slot is the big one in my book! i wonder if vegas has any odds on that one!!! ;) |

And by the way Ted Cruz from Texas made an impressive showing when visitng Chris Wallace on Fox News. That guy actually memorized the US constitution and its Amendments. |

So did David Duke ...... all Cons appear impressive on Faux News. Why do you think they agree to be interviewed ONLY on Faux? |
You won't see the VP pick until the GOP Convention at the earliest I'm thinking.
It's not important to reveal it now will the Obama team reeling in disarray, and so no real strategic advantage would be gained. |

Good safe picks for Romney are Pawlenty or Portman. Riskier but still good are Ryan or Rubio. He will not do a stupid thing this time and pick some reactionary wing nut.
|
It was reported on MSNBC tonight that Senator Rob Portman had four times as many revisions made to his wikipedia account today than his closest competitor. It seems that in 2008, Sarah Palin also had numerous revisions the day before she became the nominee.
|
Portman is "the safe white guy" favorite. He was also Junior's OMB Director and was an architect of our nation's financial calamity in 2007 - 2009.
He will also do Twitt no good in Ohio - All the leading VP contenders are bad choices. Twitt should just go ahead and pick The Quitta - at least now she is vetted. |
the caliber of responses on this forum continue to deteriorate......the depth is such anymore that one needs to look up to see the curb!!!
One can see why there is never any DISCUSSION of real issues affecting America and we the people..... btk |

LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER says, “It is made in much the same way as sausage – it’s a blend of fascist, communist, and socialist ideologies from twentieth century Europe, with a pinch of Nazism, all ground together, yet retaining the flavor of its various parts.”

VP seems now to be between Paws, Portman, and Ryan.

More speakers at the RNC were announced yesterday including Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum, Senator Rand Paul, Gov Scott Walker and Gov Mary Fallin. They can all presumably be ruled out as a possible VP choice. Looks like republicans are lining up every female office holder they can find to prove to the country that they really do like women.
Still no word on if or when Sarah Palin will be speaking. |

Nazism is a militant left wing socialist top down idiocracy. No matter how you leftists, here and on Wiki, try to distance yourself from it. |

Your separating the two words is fallacy of the highest order. They cannot be separated in the context of Nazism. You are just flat out wrong. I know you don't like to actually read anything, but maybe someone else will. http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig/young5.html |

Hopelessly off topic.
