He makes some good arguments but based on very little evidence. Most of the TOTVers also seemed to have chosen Mitt Romney as the favorite of the Republican party early on in the Primaries.

Charlie Cook, the renowned pollster, said this morning on Morning Joe that President Obama is leading in 11 of 12 toss-up states, even though the national numbers might look close. It's hard to see how Mitt Romney turns this around.

I truly hope you guys are bookmarking this post. Let's revisit in Nov shall we?

Thanks for posting this column. I am going to share it with others. His logic makes perfect sense. "Add it up. Is there one major group where Obama has gained since 2008? Will anyone in America wake up on election day saying 'I didn’t vote for Obama 4 years ago. But he’s done such a fantastic job, I can’t wait to vote for him today.' Does anyone feel that a vote for Obama makes their job more secure?"

Tea Party candidates are winning election after election. To discount something with the myopic phrase "Tea Party 'nuff said" shows how out of touch you are with the political currents.

didn't someone there also comment that if the votes for obama lessen by as little a 1% - 2% that he could lose the states based on the %age by which he won last time? or was that on fox! i gotta stop channel surfing or fox and msnbc gotta redo their time slots! no - i don't have dvr service! ;)

The only thing I heard on MSNBC about 1% to 2%, was Charlie Cook said that picking Senator Rob Portman as VP might help Mitt Romney gain 1 to 2 points in Ohio, which Romney desperately needs to win.

It's shocking that so many posters on this forum don't mind seeing their taxes go up by up to $2000 per year, according to the report that came out by the Tax Policy Institute last week, not to pay down the debt or for more defense but so that Mitt Romney and other millionaires can reduce their taxes by $87,000 annually.

It's also beyond shocking that so many don't mind ending Medicare as we know it, but instead have a voucher system that will cost each of us an additional $6000 per year.

Personally $8000 per year is more than I can afford. Others must feel like easy come, easy go.

This post is a real example of what happens when you totally immerse yourself into what Obama says....you believe anything, like transparency, deficit reduction, leadership, etc.

PS....have you actually read the report ? I have.....President Obama takes great liberty ! By the way, in addition to the bias of the authors, the numbers were just simply numbers that they put in based on nothing at all. As you yourself have said, he has not given anything specific !

It is curious that the article cited did not include an opinion on one of the more serious demographic voting blocks. The Asian-American community is the most educated and take voting more seriously than any other group yet they were not mentioned in this article. and they are growing expotentially in numbers. Where do they stand? I speculate that such a highly educated group unnderstands economic well and knows the difference between facts and hyperbole. Based on that criteria you fill in whom you believe they will turn to?

You will vote for a person who flys the flag at half staff for those killed in WI but will not do the same for any military member who is killed. Its terrible that the indicent in WI happened, I am so sorry for the victims and their families, but flying the flag at half staff, this I can not forgive this person for. I will not call him a man because he is not one, nor is he a very good American. Shame on him.

FB Never in my life heck never in 10 lifetimes would I have believed an individual such as Obama would have ever been elected President of the United States. Clearly our failed education system has taken its toll. Obama followers seem to have had a break with reality following him blindly, like he was the Pied Piper, in spite of the obvious flaws in his policies, in spite for his disdain for America, and in spite of his clear intentions of reducing America to a European model.

Who he is and what he stands for can't be any cleaner than if he had a blinking neon sign hung cross his chest.

I personally believe that no one should be allowed to run for president unless and until they have served in the military for at least 4 years...and yes I include Mitt Romney. Not only would it give a candidate a better understanding of the military forwign policy and the need for a strong defense, it would also eliminate many questions involved in the vetting process.

Obama's attitude toward the military is dishonorable. As Commander in chief I would follow him to a store.

why is it stated that Romney "desperately" needs to win the swing states?

Is it not true Obama desperately needs to carry those states like he did in 2008.....or else!!!!!!

If some think Obama has the swing states locked up and they are his to lose is getting way too much fresh air or happy hours in TV!!!!

Opinions and polls ninety days before the election and even before the conventions, are as reliable as my stockbroker. Your favorite candidate (fill in the blank) will have numerous chances to step in it, or come out smelling like a rose. The debates will swing a large number of undecided voters, and the economy and world events, totally unforseen, will swing still others. Any conjecture about the result of the November elections at this time, are probably partisan, and laughable at best.

Are you talking about the tea party senate candidates that cost the republican party the senate in 2010; Christine O'Donnell DE, Sharon Angle NV, James Raisch WV, Ken Buck CO, Joe Miller AK? Stay strong.

No, I think the reference was to the ones who won the house !!! Those and a plethora of those who are winning in states all around this country.
