Yes, there is a Best Buy near The Villages; it's only two or three miles away. If you're traveling on Morse Blvd from Lake Sumter Landing toward 466, turn right on 466. Turn left onto Rolling Acres. Best Buy is on the right just before 441 (I think).

You're way,way better off with Sam's club if you're a member or Amazon, no tax and usually free delivery.

Best Buy is on the corner of 441.27 and Rolling Acres Road.

Why do people who are centrally located in the Villages think that 441/27 is "NEAR" The Villages. The Best Buy store is within a few hundred feet of the Villages, not two or three miles. In fact it is at the very end of the golf cart accessible area. I wish they would make a way for golf carts to cross Rolling Acres at that point.

HH Gregg less than an hour away on the south side of Ocala.

Guess it depends on the starting point. Everything's relative.

Tommy, here's what we did with Best Buy and buying televisions:

I shopped online, in stores, etc. from up here in OH. Arrived at a conclusion of what two television sets we wanted to get from Best Buy. I ordered them via Best Buy's web site........for pick up at the Lady Lake store. Paid online with a credit card. We showed up at the Lady Lake store a week or two later and gave them the e-mailed paperwork we'd received regarding what we'd ordered. They sent a guy to the back and out he comes with a cart with both of them. Loaded them up and to the house in TV we went.

Worked for us! Sure beat buying them in OH and stuffing them in the back of the SUV for the long trip to TV!

Bill :)

We have found HH Gregg to have the best prices. They will also match the best price you find anywhere else for 30 days. The nearest one is in Ocala.

On a Samsung 60" TV, I found a little better price at Best Buy than Sam's. Just a little better, but I was surprised. Checked the specs again and was again surprised that this model only had 2 HDMI inputs. Needed 3, so I switched to a 60" Sharp with 4 HDMI inputs and it was a little cheaper.

60" is a big TV, but on the big blank wall of an Iris, it doesn't look big at all.

Walmart is the best for TV's and it is in the Villages

I did a lot of comparison shopping before deciding to buy my TV from amazon. Just before I pulled the trigger, I went to Best Buy to see/touch the set to make sure that's what I really wanted. It turned out that what I wanted was on sale plus Best Buy was giving away gift cards with TV purchases. I saved over $200 buying there. HH Gregg seems to have great everyday prices but Best Buy has really good sales if you're not in a hurry to buy.

I was looking at Sam's and Best Buy and saw they both had a 60" Sharp LED for $1199, I'm not interested in 3D. So I guess you got one of those. I was thinking of staying with Samsung since I have a 42" Samsung LED in the bedroom that I like. In the living room I have a 50" Panasonic plasma that's five years old and they use a lot of electricity plus I would like the bigger screen. How's is your Sharp doing, I guess you got it at Sam's for the 4 HDMI jacks?
