check out the pro at Treetops golf on rolling acres

espulmano 08-30-2012 09:59 AM

The pro at Treetops is Mike, and my husband and I took lessons from him. Both of us can vouch for him.

seashorecaroline 08-30-2012 12:01 PM

Another thumbs up for Michael at Tree Tops. :agree:

wilkinsm1 08-30-2012 12:05 PM

I also love Mike at Treetops! He is good for beginners and those of us who think they know something about the game. Great family run business.

gomoho 08-30-2012 07:45 PM

My husband and I are seeing Ralph at Lady Lake - what a great guy and instructor.

wendyquat 08-30-2012 08:40 PM

Nancy, Jim and I are taking from Ralph also and we really like him!

I'm a retired PGA professional. I would love to give a few private lessons, but I don't have a place to teach. I am not allowed to give lessons at the range on Rolling Acres. I am going to check into Buffalo Ridge.

Sandra Chester with The Villages .....made a Villages Cup team under her instruction.

SALYBOW 09-04-2012 06:26 PM

Jim, at Jim's golf shop has me able to hit it in the air when noone else could.

Mark Panigoni teaches at Buffalo Junction and Eagle Ridge Academy @ Del Webb Spruce Creek. Panigoni Golf or 352-259-0436. Mark is a PGA Professional who had to give up playing in competition because of a back injury. He can teach you a swing that will help you if you have a back problem or problems. A very good all around instructor.

Mike Girard at Tree Tops is the best in the area. He's very good with beginners as well as single digit golfers.

Wrinkly 09-18-2012 11:26 AM

Contact Wade at wadem85@aol.com he is reasonable and excellent.

Deerfly 09-26-2012 01:56 PM

Mike was a pro in The Villages at one time, maybe 8 years ago.

George Bieniaszek 09-27-2012 08:43 AM

Totally agree with everyone's recommendations with Mike Girard from Tree Tops Golf!!

Here's a link to their site: Tree Tops Golf

Mike Girard at Tree Top driving range...the best!!!

I like Sandra Chester (Golf Your Best, Inc. - Home). She used to be with TV at Lopez - now on her own out at the new Oxford Driving Range. She works with both men and women, is an LPGA Professional. Has great rates and loads of different packages. She works with all level of players.
She's helped me through a bad hip and a hip replacement. I'm truly golfing my best thanks to her.

Yesterday I took my first lesson from Dave Clark at Buffalo Junction Practice Center (behind walmart on 466). I've been golfing for over 40 years and have had many lessons up north years ago. My game has been off lately. I brought all my clubs. He started with pitching wedge. Told me to take a few swings then hit a couple of balls. He immediately told me what I was doing wrong and why. I was a single cap years ago and now hv 12.3 index. What i was doing now i hv been doing for years and never knew it.. my divot wd begin just in front of the ball. what distance i was losing (thought it was my "senior-ness") anyway,he taught me how to correct it. I highly recommend him for this. He is the type of teacher to work with your swing not make you start over with "the one swing for everyone".

Never golfed much at all (and that was as a kid). Took lessons (1 week) from Mike at Tree Tops. Thought lessons were great! Can actually hit a ball pretty far and straight!
Very conscientious and patient. Well worth the time and investment.

I think the best golf instructor around is Sandra Chester (previously at Lopez, now at Oxford Driving Range on Hwy. 301) Have had huge success since working with her.

Barney Beard! My husband and I went to him. He's very good and personable. He's at the rolling acres driving range. My game has improved 100%

villagerjack 02-16-2013 09:16 PM

Don't Take lessons, it will ruin your game and you will never understand the jargon or know what to do with the hoola hopp.

bhoward 02-17-2013 09:58 AM

My wife and I like Barney Beard at Lady Lake. He keeps it simple. First lesson is free.

slee317 02-23-2013 01:26 PM

How do you get a hold of Mike at the Tree Tops, what does he charge?

NVP32162 01-31-2014 07:14 PM

I just completed a Newcomers Class with Sandra B. Chester of Golf Your Best. Wonderful class for people new to The Villages and new to golf.

If you are a "newcomer to Golf" or just need great instruction to refresh your game, stop out and sign up at, Golf Your Best, located on 301 at the Oxford Golf range. Sandra Chester, LPGA Class A Teaching Professional & Kim Weekley have a golf school available or special sessions to meet your individual needs. Just finished a week at the School and it was the best ever! Great individual instruction, small group, fun atmosphere and you learn the fundamentals. You can't go wrong with this school.

Now that mike only teaches inside at tree tops, is it still a good helpful lesson? Thanks
