Hotmail problem?
 

Is anyone else having a problem with hotmail today? I cannot open any message on my Mac, but can on my iPhone.

OMG. Thank you. I am not insane..or incompetent. Have you figured it out?

Which internet browser are you using?

Went to hotmail just now---it just "sits there"---- email does not load---not the usual shade of blue either. I use internet explorer but have always used that without a problem.

Yes. It is not the regular format for hotmail for me. I use safari and have never had a problem. Had a young friend working on this all afternoon and thought I would check with TV puter people and found it isn't just something I have done on my puter. ANyone have any idea how to fix this? Is it a virus? What the heck is going on?

I've got it too..........Have to go thru all sorts of contortions to get my mail to open. The gang must be upgrading again:cus: Last year I had another problem, forwarding messages I think. Hotmail swore they did nothing but it didn't work for weeks. Went to site to complain and many others were posting the same problem. All of a sudden it was fixed.:shrug:

Soooo. what do we do? Please don't tell us that it could be weeks before it works. Who does one contact? Is it an Apple issue or a hotmail issue?

I don't believe it is an Apple issue because Hotmail both sends and receives on my iPhone.

I use Safari on my Mac.

So are people having Hotmail issues on other computers or just Apple?

I don't understand why only Apple Hotmail users are having issues. Or is it some Apple Hotmail users and not others? I do not have a problem on the phone either. And I too have Safari. It is not a Safari issue though because Sandybill2 has internet explorer and has the same issue.

I believe this is strictly a hotmail issue. I logged on tonight and everything seemed O.K. Got my fingers crossed.

I read somewhere that Hotmail was changing to a different cleint software. Did they do that yet?

I just logged into Hotmail on my Mac and no problems!

I, too had problems on my Mac yesterday, same thing, iphone OK. Everything's good now, Hotmail loading properly.

Did you do anything to correct it or did it just figure it out on it's own?

I too had problems yesterday and again today, and suspect it's the result of the upcoming switch over to the new Outlook.com. I got an email announcing the preview over a month ago, and personally not a big fan of it, and also found it difficult to switch back to Hotmail. Nothing near what Outloook is; I am a big fan of Outlook! I sure hope they get the "bugs" fixed quickly as I am tired of the problems - I have both gmail and Hotmail accounts and really prefer the gmail experience. But, I like having both so I can fall back to the other when one is down or having problems, just like yesterday and today.
