Car on cart path???
 

As we were driving toward Lake Sumter yesterday, we saw a red car on the east cart path on Buena Vista between Lake Miona rec center and the roundabout for Stillwater Creek. Anyone else see this or know how they got there....and more importantly how they got off. They were headed for the tunnel...didn't seem like a good thng!

Actually I've seen it a few times....as Z said, not paying attention.

On the upside, it sounds like he wasn't pulling his powerboat.

All I can say is WOW! Trying to visualize this and it would seem they would have to get on that path at canal street if they were going south or jumped the curb somewhere along the path.

Personally, I would draw a firm line against a Greyhound Bus. Not that I have anyhthing against dogs or buses; but, each has their place. BTW - does anyone ride elephants or camels in TV?

Not sure, but have noticed many riding each other (or is that deriding?)! :laugh:

Seriously, you have to wonder as TV gets older and older how safe is it going to be to drive in TV? Its funny ,maybe, maybe not, but I feel for someone who gets so confused that they are driving down a cart path instead of the road. Really its sad and very dangerous.

I once saw a white van going over the Lake Sumter Landing bridge, heading toward 466. I was going into the 'landing' so I couldn't do anything.

I don't know how they ever turned around. They couldn't!! It must have been crazy backing that van out all the way back near Sweetbay!! YIKES!!!

Cause they were already 1/2 way across!!! :22yikes:

I don't think one can assume this was an old (older) person that was driving on the cart path.

I've seen a white pickup truck on the path before (south of 466 by a golf course) I assumed it was some kind of maintenance truck, but now I'm not sure.

Now that is funny!

At least once a year I see a car on one of the golf cart paths. Sometimes heading toward a tunnel. It's scary. Has anyone ever seen a car go through a golf-cart tunnel?

Instead of using the plastic guards at the entrance of a path maybe they should use something stronger

Happens more often than you know! Have seen several on the paths. It's astounding however, sometimes it happens when folks mostly drive their carts then forget when they get into the car. Some also might be folks who are new to the area and are just like lemmings (sp) and follow everyone else. Scarey to thing about isn't it!!??

Yes, I have seen a car coming from a tunnel at Mallory. I was just about to enter the tunnel when I saw the car. I shook my header at the driver, and muttered: Men Drivers to the driver! Very scary indeed!!

i am thinking the age is getting younger of TV so not counting on old just looking for a short cut

Oh my goodness, this is one thing I HAVEN'T seen yet!
