Has anyone had acupuncture done in TV, would you recommend the accupunturist, and was you treatment successful?

I do not recommend this person whatsoever. I went there for severe anxiety and could not stay still with the needles in, left alone in a room for a period of time. Was charged for 6 appointments, had one that was a joke and had to have Citizens help me get my money refunded.
|
I also highly recommend Dr. Cheshire. Can't believe that anyone would be left in a room alone because every time I was there someone came in at least twice to check on me. There is no hard sell in that office, you can purchase a package of 6 or 8 treatments but I was given the opportinuity AFTER my first treatment. Very professional. Personally the treatment has been working for me(back issue), I can come in as often as needed, no set schedule, usually can get an appt. for the next day or two.

Dr Cheshire. Treated my wife and she was then able to travel north. Very caring office.

I am currently having neuro-mechanical acupuncture as part of my physical therapy at Central Florida Therapy on Rte. 466. So far it seems to be helping.

I went to see Dr. Cheshire for low back pain I have suffered with on and off for 40 years. I am pretty much a skeptic when it comes to non-traditional medicine but was desperate for relief beyond medication. He very thoughtfully explained the process, cost, etc. and I decided to go ahead with a 6 visit plan. He also told me before we started that if I couldn't tell any difference after 6 visits he would not recommend I continue which I thought was a real credability builder. After the initial 6 visits the pain was gone and I finished a triathlon last weekend. I know the experts think it's a placebo and the effect is only psychological but I think there is much more to it than that.

I have never had acupuncture, but would certainly go to Dr. Cheshire if I was going to try the procedure. First, I know him personally and he's very knowledgeable and ethical. I have numerous friends that have gone to him for various reasons, and every one of them has had positive results. I've never, never heard the first complaint about his office.

Well, had my first treatment on Tuesday and I am very impressed with Dr. Cheshire and his office staff. He is great to work with - actually listens - go figure. Next treatment tomorrow - too soon to say if anything is better. I'll keep you posted.

Is Acupuncture working for your problem? How many visits did it take? did it cure the problem? I have pain in my shoulder that goes up my neck
|
Just this morning I was telling my husband how wonderful it is that my back hasn't bothered me since treatment. I signed up for the 6 treatment program (I believe I went twice a week) and wouldn't hesitate to go back. I suffered with that back pain for
years - I had had a few flare ups, but if I immediately get on the floor and do my exercises, that takes care of that. Wasn't able to get that kind of relief before treatment. |
Can someone please mention if this is covered by Medicare and how much 6 treatments cost?
|
Wish I could answer your question, but don't know about Medicare and can't remember what I paid, but think it may have been $400+. Call the office and I'm sure they will answer you questions.
|
Acupuncture is not covered under Medicare and I believe the cost is $250.00 or something. When you buy a package the cost goes down. I bought a 10 pack for $365.00 so I don't think 6 could be that much.
