I think it's a bad move by the villages...

to not have any more Country Club pools south of 466A. Did anyone pay attention to that? For anyone who pays the price for a Priority Membership for golf ( or pool only), the CClub pools that exist now will be packed in season. The thing that really amazes me is that on any given day, the two pools with the "resort" style atmosphere( tiki bars, food, ,etc) at Orange Blossom and Hacienda Hills , are always packed and generating income. I cant understand why they decided no more CClub pools at all south of 466A. All the new homeowners that pay for Priority Memberships get cheated out of that perk. I would think that the Villages would want their new country clubs to generate more income especially in the summer slow season. I don't believe it could be b/c of the cost for someone to sit there and check ID's. If that were so, then offer free Priority Memberships to anyone willing to donate some hours per week as the pool monitor. Just my two cents worth!

Must not be cost effective or they would be building them.

Hot Tubs South of 466

I mentioned a while ago there are not hot tubs south of 466 at any of the country clubs. I was hoping that might generate some interest in putting one at the new country clubs. However, if they are not putting in pools I guess we won't see any hot tubs south of 466.

We have had priority memberships for five years and never ONCE used a Country Club pool. The neighborhood pools are beautiful!!

Not sure where you heard this but there will be a pool at Evans Prairie which is south of 466A.

There is info posted about it at www dot golfthevillages dot com under championship golf and then Evans Prairie. It says opening soon and hours will be 9am till dusk.

I'm pretty sure that they must have some type of matrix for this. One country club for so many residents, one Rec Center for so many residents, etc. But if the area south of 466A is going to increase our head count by about 33%, it seems like that should equate to at least 2 country clubs, not one.

There is another club coming after Evans Prairie it'going to be off Moorse Blvd down near 44A. It's going to be called Belle Glade CC.

We rarely use the country club pool in our neighborhood, unless we have company. Mainly because during the high season there are families with kids splashing around, and its noisy. Its nice if our grandkids are here, but if we want to swim and read a book or something we'd go to an adult pool.

north of 466A ? Do Cain, Palmer, Havana and Mallory have pools? Have played them all but never thought about pools?

Mudder 09-19-2012 07:22 AM

All but Palmer have pools.

Bonifay also does not have a country club priority pool. The pool you see in front of Bonifay is the Village of Fernandina adult pool.

You are right, it does have a pool listed under golfthevillages..hmmmm I have a realtor/friend who orig told me there would be no more CC pools after Havana....Good news...Thanks!

Priority for pools or golf should be carefully reviewed for their effacy

Executive courses

I would like to know where the idea of building executive courses before the people come. I am not aware of any at all and last winter was brutal for tee times. Noew there are about 2000 more homes.
