Your favorite place to eat breakfast??
We like to eat breakfast out often but find a limited selection of decent places to eat. We've tried Athens (not our favorite), Too Jays (like it but getting tired of the same place), Sunrise Cafe (like it but getting tired of going there too), and Bonifay (not our favorite). We tend not to like buffets. Anyone else find a good place to eat breakfast? :icon_hungry::icon_hungry:

Love First Watch

Breakfast places.
Have you tried the Havana Club. They server menu, not buffet. My wife and I enjoyed it.
|
I like the Omelets at Havana .
Opens at 8 AM. |

McDonalds is fine for me.

If you are talking about in TV's then you already eliminated one of our favorite places, Athens. How about Katie Bells?
If you are talking about outside of TV's then I could give you several many places that are within an hour of here that are excellent. |
Billy's Cafe on 441 across from Lowes and Bealls.

Sonrise, near Publix on 466. Yum!
Also TOOJAYS. I don't know which one I like the best. |

Billy's on Rte 27 across from Walmart, Mary's Kitchen in Belleview, and the Dam Diner in Oklawaha. These are typical workingman's type diners. Good food at reasonable prices. Guess they are still OK, haven't been in TV since May.

If you are looking for gourmet breakfast............you will not find it in or near TV. Maybe define what you mean by "decent places". |
Katie Belle's. Buffet is excellent. If you don't like the buffet they prepare delicious omelettes ( you choose the ingredients). Cracker Barrel's streusel French toast...yummmmmmmmy!
|
Here's another vote for Billy's on 441. I also really like the Cottage Inn on 441 in Lady Lake. It's a little working man's diner right next to a barber shop and the Par-Car dealership. Both places have good food and great prices. Gourmet breakfasts aren't my thing though.

Hands down Cracker Barrel. Second choice Perkins. Third choice Bob Evans :) Depends what you like to eat. I think CB has the best french toast and pancakes. And more food than you can possibly eat in one setting. (well for most folks :) )

Try Lil Bits on C101 |
Cracker Barrel without a doubt! We often spit a meal. Fun to browse the gift shop before the food comes.
|
Incredible chewy bagels at Brooklyn Water Bagels. Their muffins look good too.
|
Yum yum on the breakfast choices!!
Lots of great choices! Thanks for giving me new places to try!
|
and then there is mcdonalds for the hotcakes and sausages. the hotcakes are the lightest and fluffiest around; unfortunately it is not the bargain that they used to be. still, meals for 2 for under $10.00 and no tipping.

Billy's on 441 has great pancakes and omlets
About 15 minutes north in Bellvue is Aunt Fannies that have biscuits to die for - rest of food is pretty good also |

Favorite Breakfast
Do you think there's a reason Katie Belle's stopped serving breakfast?

Perkins - my mom's favorite.

Breakfast places
We went to First Watch up near Spanish Springs. My husband loves the food there (especially the huge pancakes), while I'm not wild about it (except the yogurt parfait with granola, fruit, and a side muffin-du-jour). The service was very slow, and it wasn't overly crowded. The waitress told us a First Watch is supposed to be opening "some time" in Colony Plaza (south of 466-A).

Do they still have the weekend buffet? VG |
KB's is closed for breakfast. Doors locked!
|
Not my favorite, but if out shopping and needing a brunch ... try the Brooklyn Water Bagel breakfast fare. BIG bagel sandwich! My wife and I found that each ordering one was a mistake. We don't eat like birds, but one would have been enough for us both, easily!

A Change of Pace
If you want something different and memorable, try The House of Blues Gospel Brunch on Sundays in Downtown Disney. Good food and great entertainment. No gripe with Cracker Barrel, First Watch, Perkins, etc. but a change of pace is good once in a while.

My in laws go to Billy's Cafe at least t wice a week. We have been once and enjoyed it. They are only open breakfast and lunch but they are packed all the time. My favorites though are Waffle House on 44 near I75 as I like the cheesy scrambled eggs and the crisp bacon, and Perkins, who let me substitute the potatoes for a cinnamon roll. We have them heat the cinnamon roll and bring forks for sharing. I love their chicken biscuit breakfast.

I don’t know why but eating breakfast out is the best meal of the day for me. There is something of an adventure I guess from when I was a kid about breakfast. Transport the soul. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...con_hungry.gif |
I Love breakfast. Visied a Cracker Barrel and loved it.
|
The Restaurant in Stonecrest, right up the road (441) from Walmart, has a really nice Breakfast Buffet. They also make omelets to order, along with french toast and pancakes. Great food, great service and reasonable prices.
|
I like the One Egg Benedict at Perkins off the senior menu. One basted egg cooked to order, with Canadian bacon, smothered in a rich hollandaise sauce. Served on half a grilled English muffin with fruit or Mammoth Muffin and choice of hash browns or breakfast potatoes.
Not too heavy and priced right. |
