From Charlotte to Gilcrest! We will be Frogs!
 

Thanks to all of you for your recommendations over the last couple of weeks! We spent the weekend in TV, had fun, and bought a lot on Hackberry Place, scheduled one of the 2 designer appointments left in 2012 and the house should be ready in Feb! Once we took the plunge, things are sure happening! Now if the house here would sell too!
Met some neat people, ate too much .......we are looking forward to meeting many of you. Anyone close to Hackberry?

Hi Guys! It's great to hear that we're going to have new neighbors. Please read back through the thread "New Villagers in Gilchrist" that's been running for the last few months to get a feel for the place! :welcome:

For some unknown reason we've been dubbed the party neighborhood? I can't figure out how that happened? :1rotfl:

My wife and I are permanent and we closed on our new home 9/27. Hackberry Place is just around the corner from us and you're going to have great neighbors. We've had the privilege of meeting HotrodGirl, Junction 29, Teryl, Twinspin, TerpDawg and are very much looking forward to getting together with CalcTeacher the second week of November. They are coming down specially for my birthday! Oh wait, it may be to look at their new house and it just coincides with my birthday...oh well!

At any rate, don't be shy and jump into the thread anywhere!!!

Yankee Quilter is on the Spreadsheet now so we've got them covered. :coolsmiley:

Thanks, we are real excited! Hoping to move Feb. or March. We haven't sold here yet, and hope things really are picking up here as the media is saying!
Next year we can move the party from place to place ... How fun will that be!

Welcome aboard, it is looking like we will have two threads to follow, if this one is as successful as the 'New to Gilchrist' one.
Only met a couple of our new neighbours yet, but if the thread is anything to go by, you will be living in a great and friendly neighbourhood.
Please call and see us when you are next in TV (we close on 17th Dec), the fridge will be well stocked.

Thanks, we are so excited and ready to go! Right after the holidays I will start selling, donating and packing! We have almost decided to rent our over 55 ranch condo here as there has been a lot of interest in rents as people cannot sell the big houses. Should be an interesting part of life!

We are down there 12/10 for our design appointment, staying almost a week, so will be wandering Gilchrist daily getting familiar with and ideas from!

Just got an offer on our NJ home. Bought a corner lot in June on Hackberry Place.

Which corner? We bought next to the corner lot on the right, lot 96. When we were here last month,it looked like a iris was going up in the corner next to us. Of course there are 4 corners! We have our design app't in Dec. and will move,probably in March. Glad to meet you!

Twin! I go by your place to get to my lot on Amherst. Hope to meet you soon. My close is 4/1 and I'll be in the middle of the unbuilt part of Amherst. I think my build is the next to break ground on amherst.
