Edgar Cayce
EDGAR CAYCE ON 2012???: POLE SHIFT AND A NEW AGE « DAYS BEFORE 2012
How many out there have heard of Edgar Cayce, also known as the “Sleeping Prophet” ???? “Pole shift and a new age in the days before December 2012” Here is another link to his still surviving institute........: Edgar Cayce' s Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) - Edgar Cayce readings: Spiritual Growth, Health, Ancient Mysteries The Edgar Cayce Readings Edgar Cayce and his holistic health readings What our planet is experiencing is most definitely....... GLOBAL WARMING as per all of our newspapers and various professors from Columbia University.........plus others in the know. Not a good thing to have one's head in the sand these days. Time to get our houses in order....... |
Interesting, but when it comes to obtaining general knowlege and information, I kinda lean toward the scientific method. No offense. And that's just me.

Scientific knowledge will only take you so far, Graciegirl. There are gaping holes in the mosaic of human knowledge. Not saying I buy anything Edgar Cayce is trying to sell. I do not know that much about him and his work but for some reason I do not have much of a desire to find out about it. Same with the Scientologists. They look too much like organized religions powered by monetary donations. |
Edgar Cayce was born in my town in Kentucky so I heard about him all my life. When I was young anytime I had a fever I would have a re-occurring dream that I was in a trance. I think it was weird Edgar Cayce reference. There is an Edgar Cayce Institute in Virginia Beach, VA.

I have used the Edgar Casey castor oil packs over the years for various things and have found them very effective. In fact I still have the cloth in the fridge back home but don't always think about using it. There are so many approaches to health issues that all have there place in the scheme of things.
However I have to say that I wouldn't put Edgar Casey and L Ron Hubbard in the same camp. The only thing that they both have are followers, but that doesn't mean they have any other similarities. The Beatles have followers too, as do the different religions. You might be throwing the baby out with the bath. They are definitely very different. If anything resonates with you, it is always interesting to inquire. However from my personal experience it is difficult to get off the Scientology mailing list or to get any info w/out getting on it. Casey's books are easily available at the library and on the net there is tons of info. JMHO LW888 |

Right. Edgar Cayce was from a "bygone era".....but it's fun to read. He was pretty accurate with his strange diagnostics on "dis eases" that weren't even known yet. Many moons ago I read several books on him. I only posted that for "fun" as so many modern climate experts "in the know" are saying similar things to what he had no way of knowing back in his day. Edgar Cayce - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Cayce's clients included a number of famous people such as Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Edison, Irving Berlin, and George Gershwin. [24] Gina Cerminara published books such as Many Mansions and The World Within. Brian Weiss published a bestseller regarding clinical recollection of past lives, Many Lives, Many Masters. These books provide broad support for spiritualism and reincarnation. Many Mansions elaborates on Cayce's work and supports his stated abilities with real life examples. |
Having lived in Chesapeake, Va have visited the Edgar Cayce Center several times. Quite an interesting place. I like to have an open mind when it comes to religion, spirituality and science.

Edgar Cayce, although from a different era, came upon his gift quite by accident. It kind of just evolved into a following.... Scientologists are totally different........... Scientology --- What exactly do Scientologists believe? Here is the answer. <p> |

"As a humble individual full of self-doubts, Cayce never profited from his mystic gift. He read the Bible every day, taught Sunday School, and helped others only when asked. Many did ask, and over the years he produced readings that diagnosed health problems, prescribed dietary regimens, dealt with psychic disorders, and predicted future events such as wars, earthquakes, and changes in governments. He spoke, moreover, of reincarnations, the early history of Israel, and the lost civilization of Atlantis. Enough of his diagnoses and predictions proved true to silence many skeptics and to develop a wide following". |

I hear you. My husband and son were always totally scientific oriented in their way of viewing the world in general. However, events occur that open up even their minds a bit to the wonder and mystical events that do abound in the universe. Not everyone can stay stuck forever...... It is a gift to find wonderment and awe of things that normally would remain "unseen"........or misunderstood. I'm in awe of all the nice TVers who do have open minds about the great unknown.........a lot more interesting than just dog poop and doggie parks. It just opens up great conversations in sharing personal happenings. |
Show me a ghost or a space alien (or anything from a foreign world) or the body Big Foot or anything that you have to "just assume it exists" without some bases of fact and maybe I'll begin to doubt science.
|
Well said senior citizen. Everything that has ever happened in my life, good and not so good, has brought me to this point in my life. And my life is wonderful!
|
IMO - one must ALWAYS keep an open mind! Who would have thought we would have a space station orbiting the earth; cell phones; tablets, etc.
Personally I love reading/watching bout UFO's. Never saw one (probably never will) not sure they even exist. BUT - I believe there is A POSSIBILITY of their existence! I mean, heck, we are flying around out there aren't we? Who knows? |

Does not drink or do drugs. He had never ever ever ever been a believer in aliens or spacecraft or life on other planets........total SKEPTIC. A friend of ours' daughter had asked us to type up a college recommendation for her.......which I did; hubby decided to drive it down the road right after suppertime......it was approximately 6 p.m. in the evening. He had the car windows rolled down as he is a smoker. SILENTLY ABOVE HIM was a ROUND SPACE CRAFT THE SIZE ABOUT 400 FEET IN DIAMETER, if my memory is right........white lights.....totally SILENT. No sound. It hovered over his car...........and then shot off through the night sky towards the mountains........it was BLACK. He continued down our hill and turned onto our friend's short street; she said he was totally a nervous wreck when she opened the door.....excitedly told them all about what he had experienced. They knew he didn't believe in these things at all........from our get togethers, etc. She said he was a wreck. He's not normally a high strung person. He came home and called our police and the Air Force in Plattsburgh N.Y. They didn't seem to care, one way or the other. He told them he had not been drinking and he does not do drugs. He went back the next day to the exact spot where this "craft" hovered over his car and took a photo of the house, landscape.........then he transposed it onto canvas and drew in the SPACE CRAFT AND PAINTED IT ALL..........dated it his birthday. Next day I told the guys who were vinyl siding our home about it and they all LAUGHED........and said it was a hang glider. Well, no one hang glides in Vermont in January......and not in the dark, plus we know what they look like............this was a circular, silent craft....that hovered and then zoomed off into the night sky.......really fast. No engine noise. It was NOT a helicopter. AGAIN, NO ENGINE NOISE AT ALL. He became a believer. From a total skeptic to a believer. A few weeks later, a local carpenter friend of ours was returning from Albany and he had spotted something similiar at about the same time on the same day, zooming off to the west I guess it was. Years before that, it had been in our newspaper that local cops, priests, teachers, citizens of all types had seen these craft with blue flashing lights HOVERING over our town.......on several occasions.......anyone who flies their own plane knows that planes do not hover in one spot. U.F.O. organization was contacted and they reported other sightings. These "things" have also been seen in New Jersey. I'm serious. |
Not sure if it still exists but there were several Edgar Cayce 'groups here in TV.
Cayce's dream cures were IMO nothing more than him tapping into his subconscious, we all do it. We've all gone to sleep thinking about a problem and woke up knowing the solution. Remember back in the day when Doctors would diagnose without a million lab tests? They'd look at your throat and say "Yep, that's strep". Now they have to do a culture or test for everything. |
I certainly believe you!
However, I can understand someone who is scientifically oriented to simply say "SHOW ME!" I would love to one day see a UFO found and contact made. As stated earlier, believe they may exist but have never seen one. Wouldn't that be great? |

In early 2000 we were at a funeral for a dear elderly neighbor friend of ours and her son in law who was a recently retired GENERAL IN THE AIR FORCE who had been stationed at Langley and THE PENTAGON, plus had flown missions during the Viet Nam Era..........was asked about the existence of U.F.O.'s and Project Blue Book........he got a twinkle in his eye and sidestepped the question.......as did his brother in law, another high ranking Air Force officer.......both married to daughters of the deceased.......HOWEVER, the young grandson, also an Air Force Pilot who flew in the Gulf War era....and later........was quite talkative about his suspicions..........until he got that "LOOK".....to hush up. So, who knows? Lots of astronauts, airplane pilots, etc. have admitted spotting them......... I've always thought, in the past, that they (the aliens) must be a highly evolved species, very spiritual who might be watching over us.......however, lately I wonder "what if they were not so peaceful as I imagined?" We might ultimately end up as snack food. |

Sounds like a movie script. Probably comes from one somewhere or other. Independence Day comes quickly to my mind. |

However, I can understand panic say 50-60 years ago but today? With all of our technology and all the satellites orbiting and space station yes some would panic but I "think" most people would be in awe! |
