We had Royal Palm flooring put laminate in one CYV and tile and laminate in a second. Chuck and Todd did a great job on both.

Do yourself a favor and check out Wildwood Flooring. They are located in the strip mall on 301 that has the Post Office and the hardware store. They were very easy to work with, had the best prices, showed up when they promised and did an excellent install.

I used Nickle Tile in Sumter Landing, I needed a match to my existing tile, they got the same lot# and were competitive on there pricing.

We are having all our carpet removed and replaced with laminate flooring. We are using East Coast Flooring and they are located on 301 justy north of the K-mart plaza in Belleview. We visited a home that they had done about a year ago and the floors looked like they had just been installed. Two things you need to check on is the underlayment that is used and whether or not the installer will remove your baseboards and trim them and reinstall. I don't like the idea of having the quarter-round installed instead of taking the time to remove the baseboards and reinstall. That makes it look like an afterthought.

I have had my whole house flooring and also backsplash done.
Floormasters (rte 301) was "by far" best price and did great job.
Saved us about 30% from East Coast pricing for same product.

we also used floormasters - the price was fair and the install was ATROCIOUS! will NEVER use them for our future projects - and we have two upcoming ones!

Be sure to see if the company uses their own employees for the install or sub-contracts it out. Sometimes contract installers just don't care enough about the result.

shcisamax 11-28-2012 03:10 PM

Floor masters was the cheapest but they simply could not make their appointments or get their written estimates. We gave up. Went with East Coast who were terrific. The installer, Darrell, was a pleasure to work with.

Wildwood Flooring is privately owned. The owner's sons work for him as the salesman/estimator and the installer. Real gentlemen. The father stopped over to check the progress of the installation and ensure our level of satisfaction. No money up front...I dropped off a check at the store after they were done.

We just had laminate floors throughout the entire house. We used East Coast. All we can say is "WOW". We have had contractors in the north and south and East Coast is absolutely the BEST. If anyone wants to see the finished product PM us and we would be thrilled to show off our floors. Dollar for dollar East Coast is the best value around. Remember the finished product depends on the Install and Darrell and his crew are world class.

We just had East Coast Floors install engineered lumber in our master suite and were very happy with our dealings with the company and installers. We would highly recommend them!

We hired Mike Wilson to do about 800 sq ft of rectified tile, he said it would take a week. After 3 weeks, it was still not done, then he refused to return phone calls, respond to a letter or complete the job! Even after he had to replace 16 of the tiles (and MANY more that should have been replaced due to hollow undersides and raised edges) we are still not even close to being happy with what he did do! Every time we try and scoot our dining room chairs they catch on raised edges and then we consider ourselves lucky that he didn't finish the rest. He left trim off, areas ungrouted, and a whole room undone. If you want to repeat our worse mistake in hiring a contractor, just go ahead and believe that "He'll do the best job"! We have pictures to support all statements.

Good word for Floormasters

Just had a laminate installation with Eddie and his install team from Floormasters. John and Alex handles the sales and scheduling. Could not be happier: a first class job, and the most knowledgeable installers. Hightly recommend Floormasters.

Save yourself a lot of aggravation a lot: To me along with many others you have but two choices.
A) East Coast Flooring...north on 441, nr KMart look up there phone number.

B) A.N.W. Flooring Belleview, Tel. 352-502-1650

Both of these companies are 1st Class, both will remove the base boards, paint and replace them. Very important that they do this some that have been recommended here do not do this.

Again there are many flooring companies around the two that I mentioned you will not have any headaches.

We just had our whole house done by east coast we love it they also placed ceramic tiles in both baths I started this process while in NJ they were very helpful and the results were just what we wanted

Chuck Abbey of Royal Palm 352-272-8963
He did my master bedroom, walk in closets plus two other bedrooms and closets. There were five men that showed up ON TIME. Amazing workers, took up old carpet, prepped the concrete and began installing. I didn't really have any furniture to move so the job was only 1 1/2 days. He does move and put back the furniture.

His price was very competitive. He will match any other written proposal. He will give you one price for everything and doesn't nickel and dime you! I did not want a transition piece between the wood and tile and was told by everyone else that this could not be done. The tile would be sharp, I'd cut my feet, there would be a gap...Not true. Chuck did an excellent job in installing the floor without a transition piece and it looks wonderful. There is no gap and nothing is sharp. I like the smooth look especially if we ever have the need for a wheelchair etc. I would highly recommend him. I previewed three other homes that he did before hiring and all were very pleased with his workmanship and they were beautiful and one was with laminate flooring. Excellent job. He is busy and could be a few weeks out for installing but well worth the wait and definitely consider for an estimate. Good luck.

Floor of the Villages - Roberto's Flooring is installing our engineered hardwood as we speak.

We are part time TVers for now and spent a lot of time on the phone with them yesterday. They were concerned about how to remove the baseboards and reinstall them to our satisfaction since the new flooring is not at tall as the original carpeting. We were impressed with their attention to detail, especially since we are not there to oversee the job.

I wholeheartedly agree. Royal Palm removed all carpeting, and baseboards and installed laminate throughout our Amarillo ranch in 2012. Fair, very easy to work with and no delays or major waiting. Class act you can feel good about contracting with.
