It is a wonderful site because of the people who have made it that way throughout the years. Real people with real hearts and real lives. Here's one whose heart and love is going out to you and your family. I hope you can feel the love, prayers and concern. (((HUGS)))

And yes, i also love this site:)

ugotme 01-08-2013 04:15 PM

Don't really "know you" Ed. I've only been here a short time.
But I have come to respect you via your posts and regardless of opinion - what you have gone through is beyond my comprehension. I can only offer you prayers and, for now, "virtual friendship."

Our prayers are with you and your family.

TOTV is just like a big family full of ups and downs, but strong in it's integrity and love for one another! ((((hugs))) to you!

Dancing Queen 01-08-2013 10:45 PM

I love this site and All the Good Natured Warm Hearted Caring Loving Helpful People who make it that way.:mademyday:

Suzi 01-08-2013 10:46 PM

Like many others, we have not met. And yet I feel like we are friends and that seems to be the theme of TOTV. The many friends you have on this site, including me, continue to have you and your family in our daily thoughts and prayers.

Barefoot 01-09-2013 01:08 AM

Ed, you're a special person. You've been in our thoughts, and many of us have struggled to find the words to bring you some comfort. We're glad to see you posting again.

TOTV and the people on it are the best experience I have had on the Internet by far since I first starting using it around 1999. Ed you are one of these people along with many others who have made me so addicted to TOTV.

You guys and gals accept me with whatever foibles I may have. I am never quite sure about what my weaknesses are.

Hope you and your extended family are doing very well. Very good to see you posting again. Missed your input with the various threads I add to quite often.

I wanted you to know that I have been praying for your grandson Quentin, you and your family.

Yes, indeed, I do love this site as well and hope to start meeting some of its members soon!

DaleMN 01-09-2013 08:31 AM

I enjoy this site too but must admit I miss the political banter and barbs. They always kept the blood flowing and, in some cases, raised my blood pressure to a dangerous level. Still.......

Thinking of all of you and sending love.

Talk Host 01-12-2013 08:48 AM

It give me a great deal of personal pleasure knowing that my idea of a chat forum for Village residents about 6 years ago has turned into the major force that it is today. Even though Amity and I now longer live in The Villages, I stop by here once in a while to see what people are saying.

I've got to say the new owners of TOTV are doing a wonderful job expanding and enhancing the forum. The member, of course, make up the community.

I often wonder how man personal friendships have been generated as a result off TOTV.

TH and Amity

chachacha 01-12-2013 09:59 AM

as for myself

talk host, i can sincerely say that as for myself, many, many of the friendships i now cherish were started right here on TOTV. a big THANK YOU from me and many others....

KathieI 01-12-2013 10:33 AM

Hi Jan & Amity... Happy New Year!! Great to hear from you.

I personally have made so many great friends here on TOTV. These have been long term, very close friendships that could not have been developed if it wasn't for this forum. The best times were in '07 and '08 when so many of us were in the process of deciding to move down here and when I arrived, in my case, I already had hundreds and hundreds of good friends that I'm happy to say, are still very close to me.

Thank you to you, Tony and Darrell for you original concept as it truly has worked out to be a winner for many of us.

Cisco Kid 01-12-2013 12:20 PM

This site is my life line to warm weather.
I check it 1st thing with my coffee to see the temp for the day.
:gc:
I plan for this little fella to be me one day.

jojo 01-12-2013 12:27 PM

Chachacha and Kathie I were among my first friends when I moved down here. I was in the 2007-2008 time frame with them. TOTV was an unbelievable help in making decisions about living here and for developing friendships that have endured. Thanks to the first founders and to the current administrators for a terrific service to the community.

OldDave 01-12-2013 12:39 PM

I almost always agree with my friend Ed. And I most certainly agree with him (and the rest of you) about how much I have enjoyed this site. It is so nice to get kind responses to even to sometimes dumb questions. There truly are a lot of very friendly people here who have helped me a great deal. (And I hold out great hope for the couple of grumpy ones, too.)

I do say the hillbilly label makes me a bit nervous. OK, I'll admit I grew up in the Ozarks, and those are my cousins you're talking about, so smile when you say that, lol.

I do have a joke that comes from my radio days, but would be applicable to my cousins.

"What has 12 legs and 6 teeth? A tower crew."

One of my last jobs before I retired was supervising our construction of a new 1,300 foot high FM tower. As towers go, that's a big mother. And it is amazing to see the guys that work on these things. The description is pretty much true. With all the steel swinging in the breeze when they are hoisting stuff up, there are lots of injuries. My cousins, however, are missing teeth, and and a few genes, for other more "personal" reasons.

Thank you all again,

Dave

CFrance 01-12-2013 01:13 PM

So happy to see you back, Ed. You've been a favorite of mine from my very first experiences on this site last year, when you helped explain to others a concept I was having trouble articulating.

We're all here for your ups and downs that are sure to come. I still pray for peace for your family.
