Best Coffee

My wief is on the look out for a resturant with a good cup of coffee. She thinks Sweet Tomatoes is the best so far any others?

casita37 01-19-2013 05:05 PM

I used to really like McDonald's coffee, but it has been many, many years since I have had it. It may have changed. Anything that's really good usually does...LOL

l2ridehd 01-19-2013 05:19 PM

Best coffee is at home. Made with Hula Daddy Fancy Select Kona coffee.

Happinow 01-19-2013 05:27 PM

Mickey D's

For me it's McDonalds. They have a great tasting coffee. Not too weak, not too strong and it's affordable!!

KathieI 01-19-2013 05:40 PM

I like Dunkin Donuts coffee, its really good. But 7-11's have the greatest coffee to me. Most gas stations do have good coffee too.

geri317 01-19-2013 06:01 PM

Panera has good coffee, also the Water Bagel shop in Bed Bath & Beyond shopping area.

missypie 01-19-2013 06:09 PM

Am another fan of McDonald's coffee.

Mmmmmm, sounds heavenly (wait, that's Chock Full of Nuts, LOL!) I guess life is too short for bad wine and bad coffee!

cbg150 01-19-2013 07:18 PM

I have wonderful coffee at Joe the Art of Coffee, an artisan cafe a couple of blocks from my NYC apartment. (They also serve amazing scones including a Pecan Blue Cheese savory scone that is to die for!)

At home I enjoy a K-Kup of Emeril's Big Easy Bold coffee, it was the first item that I placed in my cupboard in TV!

Coffee

We're Starbucks fans. The stronger, the better!

Love the Dark Roast from Panera.

KayakerNC 01-19-2013 08:43 PM

Some restaurants have really good coffee, until the local manager decides to improve his/her bottom line by watering it down.
Yeah, I'm talking about you, Cracker Barrel.
And don't try to look innocent Dunkin' Donuts, you're also guillty.:mornincoffee:

Where do you buy your Kona coffee? It is the best coffee and I fondly remember enjoying it while on our many trips to Hawaii.

Agreed. Best coffee is made at home. We love Polly's Gourmet Coffee from Long Beach, CA. Friends of ours turned us onto Polly's. We buy whole bean and grind it ourselves.

Bill32 01-19-2013 09:05 PM

If on the road we always look for a 7-11 but around TV I like Perkins..........but maybe it's the pie I get with it. ;)

I so disagree. Dunkin' Donuts is the best!

GatorFan 01-19-2013 09:16 PM

Starbucks for me too.

jet10s 01-19-2013 09:16 PM

I am addicted to the iced coffee at the Brooklyn Water Bagel Cafe (near to Kohls) IMAGINE -- THEY USE ICE CUBES MADE OUT OF COFFEE INSTEAD OF WATER -- SO AS NOT TO DILUTE THE ICED COFFEE -- SUPERB!!!!!

chuckinca 01-19-2013 09:27 PM

Barrie House French Roast Beans from Sam's.

.

westcoastsunshine 01-19-2013 11:32 PM

If you like dark full bodied coffee, we order whole bean
Kick Ass from Kicking Horse Coffee on Amazon.

The 2.2 pound pouch is a good buy.

Never liked Starbucks American coffee - their other coffees are good. I much prefer Dunkin' for morning coffee.

l2ridehd 01-20-2013 07:24 AM

I but it directly from the Hula Daddy web site. I did a tour while in Hawaii and have been hooked on it since. Kona coffee is great and Hula Daddy is the best of the Kona's.

I guess I am weird when it comes to coffee. I have to change the coffee I drink, otherwise I get so used to it, it doesn't have any taste. Every time I buy, it will be different. Dunkin Donuts, Eight O Clock,Foldgers Vanilla Biscotti!, Star Bucks fancy drinks are a treat, I love a good Mocha Latte!

This sounds interesting. I need to try it.

Right now, it's Harmony Bay's Hazelnut coffee. Black, no sugar.

Monkei 01-20-2013 10:11 PM

starbucks.

coffeebean 01-24-2013 10:38 AM

I love Starbuck's coffee. As someone up thread said..."the stronger, the better".

I also treat myself to Starbuck's special drinks around the holidays. LOVE the Peppermint Mocha. I tried the Peppermint Mocha from Dunkin' Donuts but it wasn't nearly as flavorful. I know DD's is less expensive than Starbuck's but it doesn't mean anything if the flavor just isn't there.

Another vote here for McDonalds. Really good. A month or so ago -- it was 1.00 any size----

Yes. As a matter of fact, it was surprising how good 7-11 was the first time I had it. For over 20 years now, I still think the standard brew at 7-11 has the full body flavor without bitter that I look for in a coffee.

stuckinparadise 01-24-2013 11:31 AM

While in Key West we had a great cup of coffee at one of the restaurants (I forget which one) and asked what it was. The waiter said it was Illy coffee. We went online and started ordering the whole bean (our coffee maker grinds the beans prior to brewing). It was a little pricey, so we switched to Alterra. You can only order it online as it is not sold in stores. It's about half the price and we like it better than Illy. Our favorite is: Blue Healer, Delicious!

Love (and miss) Polly's. I was a regular - used to live 2 blocks from Polly's in Belmont Shore.

The best coffee is the one you are having with friends....

I think Fresh Market sells Kona Coffee.

I hate to ask this to all on TOTV but....... what might best the best decalf that you enjoy? I really can't tolerate caffeinated coffee and currently drink Cafe' Verona decalf from Starbucks. Its good and full-bodied but I am up to try other bold choices if you can recommend them. Thanks.
