Recently moved to the Villages and was wondering if there was anyone down here from the Akron, Canton Ohio area. (Green, Greensburg) With so many residents, thought I might find a few from my hometown.

I lived in Cleveland for a year! Does that count???? Been through Akron and Canton, (pro Football Hall of Fame).

Went to school at Kent but left that part of the country 35 years ago; however, my very dear best friend still lives in North Canton and I am always trying to convince her to come to The Villages to live! Last time we were there was August 07 for a month - best part of the stay was Giant Eagle market! (other than her company of course).

I grew up in Kent and went to RHS and KSU. Cherie grew up in Akron and we moved here last year from Copley. Does that count?:)

We are from Medina, not frogs yet, but we close on our home in Gilchrist on 2/22.

Born and raised in Columbus, 40 wonderful years in Cincinnati, now happily a villager..

But Ohio proud.

Actually we go back to Green in the summer months because of our two grandaughters ages 2 and 4. Thats the hardest thing for me being in the Villages, missing those babies. Other than that, I love it here.

You are pretty close to Green. haha

How about Akron Canton Ohio. I really would like Green or Greensburg Ohio but maybe I know someone from Akron or Canton also. The Ohio club here is huge but still never ran into anyone I know

Yes, we are from Tallmadge. Just closed on our house in February. We bought in the Village of Hadley and will be coming down in April. Nice to hear there are people from the Akron area. Would like to meet after we get situated.

I have a best friend in Waynesville, who I visit yearly and plan to spend part of summers around Wilmington or thereabouts. 2 years ago I went to North Canton to pick up a vintage Hammond organ I bought and the year before that was in Greenville visiting Annie Oakley's grave I like Ahia and it's people. Future visits are Johnson's Island and Camp Chase in Columbus. Does any of this count? :laugh:

We are from Twinsburg and will be building in the Village of Pinellas. Strange ou should mention Green as we have some very good friends who live there.
