Hair Salon Recommendation ???

Anyone have any recommendations on a GOOD hair salon who is up on the styles and with experience in reverse perms? Don't want any that give you a trainee to practice on your hair. Thanks

Yanni at Dimensions at Colony Plaza is an excellent stylist.

A haircut there is $43.

I'm not familiar with the term "reverse perm"?? I use Whitney Fifer at Urban Hair Salon and have been using her for about 4 years for cut, color and highlights. She's very experienced and she might understand that term. Her phone # is 352 279 7794.

Thanks so much for the info. Just so you know, a reverse perm straightens hair instead of curling it. It is easier on the hair than the Brazilians and less expensive.

Kevin at Saloon Bozadjian off route 441 opposite the Lowes Mall. Expensive, but good.

After a year of bad haircuts I found Nancy at Cal's up in Spanish Springs. Highly recommend her!

Kasey @ Salon Chioma in Lady Lake. 352-750-4020. Found her after 3 years of not-so-good cuts. She is really good. Tell her Marcella sent you.

you will definitely not find any trainees at Tuscany Day Spa & Salon in Lake Sumter Landing.

Ask for Helen and if she is booked, as she usually is, they have several others that are equally as good.

Recommend Michael at Salon Chioma 352-750-4020. He is the owner and finally found him after 5 years of trying a dozen other salons. Have had him for my stylist for 3 years. Tell him Ellen sent you.

Thank you graciegirl! I went to Yanni tonight, the best haircut I've had in a very long time. I had a wonderful stylist back in PA, but Yanni is awesome! Money well spent!! :mademyday:

I think the correct spelling may be Jani though. At least that's how they spelled it on my card for my next appointment. Again thank you! Val

ellie123, Michael is great if he doesn't "disappear" for several months! Used to go to him and, although, he is a good stylist, you never know if he will show up for work. Maybe with his own shop, he is more reliable but I'm not willing to take the chance...let me down too many times. I agree with billethkid, I go to Helen at Tuscany at LSL.

good hair salon

I have been going to Dimensions in colony plaza for 4 yrs. now and I am so happy with them. I go to Jamie she is great. I think that is one of the hardest things when you move is to find a good hairdresser.

I have been here for one month and just had an appointment with Parker at Dimensions. He was fabulous. I about passed out when presented with the bill. I had a cut, color touch up and a few highlights...it was $60 more than I paid in either San Antonio or Philadelphia. Yikes!! I need a plan B...

Four votes for Victoria Hair. I think prices are reasonable, and they have a lot of talented stylists.

I went to Dimensions when I was there in August and my appt was supposed to be with Jani (middle range on the rate scale), but he did not come to work that day and I was changed to Parker (top range on the rate scale0. I have to say that I was not as happy as you, while he did do a good job and continually stressed that he backs up his work and if I was not happy just come back (it is my own fault that I did not do that). While he did an okay job, it certainly did not meet my expectations for the cost, which like you said was about $60 more than I am used to spending and about $30 more than it would have been with Jani.

Hello RN1TV, This is Michael, I wanted to thank you and apologize for the experiences you've had with me in the past. It wasn't my intention to disappear or switch salons as often as I did in the past. Several of those relocations were out of my control. Opening my own salon has given me the opportunity for stability and I'm much happier. I'm happy that you were able to find a great stylist such as Helen, I've heard her name quite a bit. Cheers.

I like Shay @Bellissimo 352-633-0509 alot of TV residents go to that salon

De Lis 11-05-2013 06:44 AM

I, too, went to Parker when he was at Root 466 and never went to see him again.

Everyone has their own opinion on what they like and what THEY think is good.

After 3 bad haircuts and 1 bad coloring, I have started going to Aveda in Ocala. Have been twice and will continue to go now. I was hesitant, but now I know it was a good decision!

Beatit 11-05-2013 07:30 AM

Started out at Dimensions ended up at ******* off of Rolling Acres close to Five Guys. Great haircut by Erika!

Beatit 11-05-2013 07:32 AM

Heard there is a battle going on between hair stylists. If you notice, the name of the salon was bleeped out and I don't know how they can do that!

bettsca 11-11-2013 08:32 AM

Bruce at Bella's Hair Salon on 441/27 next to Belk
