If you were an animal....

Just for fun...
If you were an animal (instead of a human) what animal would you MOST like to be- and why?

My hubby says he'd want to be a dog in The Villages!
When I asked why, he said "Just look at the great life they have here!"

Kaola bear. They eat eculyptus leaves which is a marijuana to them. That's why they never make quick movents.

Spaced out and having fun! :jester:

Years ago in a class we had this question. The other members were supposed to look at you (me in this case) and decide what kind of animal we were. I was deemed to be an owl because I watched people and didn't speak (at that time of my life I was shy).
However, since then, I'd agree with your husband and wish to come back as my family dog...the 4 legged "kid" who runs this household.

my avitar speaks for itself.

The eagle has many capabilities ....presence...stature....sight...sound....speed.. ..on the ground...above the water....and able to get away from it all by going way, WAY higher than the rest of earths creatures. From way up high and or from a distance most everything looks just fine.

There is a reason why the eagle is on so many contries/states flags, coat of arms or signatures.

I pick Eagle too, they are so beautiful and majestic. I am addicted to eagle cams.

Oh, that made me laugh! I didn't know that!

Is that really true about Koala bears ???

I remember reading about quite a while ago. I assume nothing has changed.

Either a white, fluffy dog living in TV or a feline -- don't care which one, don't care what size but just love their beauty, grace and independence.

I wanna be our Cockatiel, Isa. Just turned 6. He rules the roost around here. The dog loves him; the husband loves him; I love him. He could care less, until he wants some attention, at which point he thinks we're great. He talks, he chortles, he has a terrific bad attitude, and he will outlive us all. They live 25-35 years.

And now we're turning off the fans and letting him fly, although he hasn't quite mastered steering yet. Only downside is we can't have another cat.

Surely be fish. I love beaches and swimming

jblum315 02-26-2013 05:39 AM

I think I would be a crow. Crows may be the smartest animals of all, they can make and use tools, they have an elaborate language, they have friends and great family life, hey don't have many predators because they're inedible, etc. etc.

A wild mustang who is living free, doing what I want, when I want, and roaming throughout all the beautiful country out in the West.

Cedwards38 02-26-2013 08:07 AM

I'd be a 600 pound gorilla. Long life, and nothing ever says no to him.

gmcneill 02-26-2013 11:25 AM

A championship thoroughbred race horse, newly retired.

What a life!

After years of travelling across the country as a pampered athlete who garnered fame, fortune, and adulation, I would get to settle into a care-free, all-expenses paid lifestyle living on a huge, upscale, verdant farmland of rolling hills over which I could gallop the
day away.

I would be fed and groomed and fussed over every day, and be entitled to free medical care for life, and be in demand to provide all of the...um...uh...companionship ;) that I could want.

jblum315 02-26-2013 11:42 AM

Gracie, I hate to break it to you but even champion racehorses get slaughtered eventually.

I think it's funny that so many have picked animals like birds, cats, and dogs that don't have much brain power and live relatively short lives. And, as was said, wild horses eventually get slaughtered.

I would like to be an elephant living and working in Sri Lanka. They are treated with respect and well cared for. They also have a long life expectancy.

And you'd be a vegan. :)

Oh, Cockatiel! I'm missed that one. They're better than most. So you want to be one and spend your days in birdcage jail? :D

Very good, I hadn't thought of that.

Loved all the picks in this post. I have to go with a dog living here in The Villages!!!
Just look at all the doggies living here. I have not met any that didn't have a big smile on their faces, pampered and loved by their families and the cherry on top of all that was to go out for a golf cart ride and have the sun shining down on them and the wind in their faces.

Hey!! Wait a minute -- I'm living that lifestyle already!!!! Just wish that my tee shots were a little more consistant and that my 5 iron wasn't so moody at times :)

Here2Stay 02-28-2013 09:22 PM

This one is easy!

Whatever animal any of us choose, let's hope we are owned by a Villager...LIFE would be grand for sure.
