I hate to do it but this was a first for me. Was walking past the mail boxes in Sanibel this morning and a man pulled up in the parking lot in his golf cart. He was holding a small bag. Upon closer inspection, the bag was carrying dog poop. Ypu can just tell when the little bag is tied with little poops in the bottom of it.There was no dog in the cart. He went to get his mail with the bag of poop in his hand and after trying to be cleaver about it, he opened the bag and put some garbage mail in the bag and then disposed of the dog poop bag in the trash at the mail boxes. This man clearly drove to the mail boxes to dispose of the dog poop. Nothing surprises me any more with irresponsible dog owners.

How is it known 100% certain that the bag contained dog poop?

Lots of possibilities including the possibility his own plumbing was on the fritz in his house. :loco:

it must be occuring more than you know because our garbage can at our mailbox has a sign "Do not dispose of dog waste in here"

Make book that other than the OP and me the remainder of the posts were by dog owners. I mean if you were up to your elbows in poop everyday something like this would go...well unnoticed. what is it aout dog owners that they work so hard keeping their dog and their poop so far apart?:wave:

If you knew this was bothering You,why did you not say something?

Aren't we being a little harsh here?

I know a bunch of dog owners, who say their little Fido's poop.......doesn't stink. ;)

Not sure what is up with my Caly dog. Couple of days ago (in my yard) was a three b-a-g-g-e-r plus hose to clean. You really wonder about your station in life as the dog watches you clean up (YUCK) :oops:

let me see....based on the logic presented if one does not sign up against the dog poop allegation then they must be dog owners......how wrong and prejudiced can that be??

The only reason the signs are on the trash can is to make the complainers feel as though something has been accomplished.

Buttonwood has a sign to not dispose of dog feces at the mail station. I wouldn't think anyone would do such a stupid thing, but what do I know?

Imagine the lucky person who has to empty the mail station garbage cans every night, especially on hot days like we've recently had. Must be a great joy for them to deal with that smell. Sorry, but there's no excuse for the kind of inconsideration it takes to dump your dog's waste in a public receptacle and I really don't understand (and don't want to) some of the comments made here.

It's all been said, many times over.
