Is The Developer branching out?
When I stopped at the Southern Trace Kindred Spirits store today [05/02], the guys were busily setting up a display of new products:
Brownwood Bourbon The Villages Vodka Both products were clearly labeled with TV images, so they're unmistakably TV oriented! Whether they're actually associated with The Developer, I don't know, but I am intrigued! :BigApplause: SWR :beer3: |
Were they selling any Schwartz Schnapps or Scotch or Morse Martini, Manhattan or Margarita Mix?
|
NO but I did see a life size statue of Schwartz inside the store by the TV Vodka. I was intrigued also.

A liquor distributor who serves the area claims TV buys "in bulk" for the squares, liquor stores and many restaurants. As such he says TV is the second largest customer for wine and spirits in Florida. (behind only Disney). So, obviously they can put anything they'd like on the bottles.

Private branding is very common in retail and especially wine, beer, most types of booze.
TV owns all the Kindred Spirits stores as well as the concession booths on the squares so yes they do buy "in bulk". btk |

Cheers to that!

Wouldn't it be nice if they had a quality wine for sale with a TV label? Would make a great gift for house warming parties and for your friends in the tundra.

A reminder...the topic is about the Developer branching out into private label alcohol sales.
The thread wandered into a whole separate area and those posts have been pruned out. |
Thank you for your diligence Moderator. So many get off subject on so many things, it is ridiculous!

bfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft
Sorry... I digress. |
I haven't made it over to Kindred Spirits to see the new Brownwood Bourbon and The Villages Vodka. Those should have been on the shelves a couple of months ago so the seasonal people and renters could have taken them back home to pass out as souveniers.
Anyhow, does anyone know who the manufacturer of those spirits is? It is very easy to get private labels printed for the bottler to put on a run. I would like to know the quality of the spirits. I figure the vodka cannot be too great with it selling for $15.99. My favorite vodka in The Villages is "Rain". According to the bottle, it is organic and distilled 5 times. It is extremely smooth. On a recent cruise on Celebrity, I discovered a Polish vodka called "Pravda" which is the smoothest vodka I have ever had. It was available at the ice-covered Martini Bar on the ship and I had all my martinis created with Pravda. |
