Being a fan of trivia, I took the liberty of setting up a trivia game for the users here at TOTV.

There are some pretty smart folks here (as evidenced by the 3/4/5 word sentences threads), so I thought maybe others would also like to try and exercise an aging brain. :D

Just to let you know, both speed and accuracy count.

You will have to sign up (click in the upper right corner where it says "create account." It's pretty easy, just follow the instructions), pick a user name and then it will allow you to play.

It's just a private tournament for members here, but is not officially affiliated with TOTV...so that's why you'll need to sign up separately.

Thanks. I am not particularly good at trivia but I am willing to learn more useless information except for when playing Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader and Who Wants to be a Millionaire online.

Was curious how the website FunTrivia works? I signed up with Taltarzac725 as a Player but cannot seem to play other trivia games as that name at the moment? I play as "Guest" instead as the website seems to be rather strict about a person signing up more than once. I do not want multiple player names to keep track of just wanted to know why the site only allows me to play as a "Guest" even though I signed up for it with a name that at least worked for the TOTV Trivia?

Hmmm, that's a new one on me.

Do you click on the "home" (little house) in the far upper left hand corner?

When I do, it takes me to their home site and still shows my user name.

I have played in a few private tournaments (under different user names), as well as many of their quizzes/games on the main site.

It is quite an extensive site and you can play a plethora of different things, that will keep you occupied for hours.

You might want to try again, by logging in here first (make sure you're logged on).....and then trying to go to their home site.

Today's was an easy quiz. I had all 10 answers right but for some reason it only counted 7 of the results and listed the rest as "No answer"? Frustrating.

Because I usually read fast and go for speed, that happens to me occasionally.

What it means is that it didn't take your "click" on an answer.

If you hit the back arrow a couple of times after you've finished, you can go back to the quiz you just took and see which ones weren't actually answered (and which ones you missed).

I try to take a quick look at the previous question, before it scrolls up, to make sure it took my click.

In fact, my time today was slower than my usual because I had to go back up and click on an answer again.

I had to put in a different user to get to the various trivia games. It is very easy to play a lot of games on their site.

Glad you could at least get to the main site, as you're right...there are a LOT of games you can play. :thumbup:

Thanks for sitting this up. Actually was able to answer all the questions in today's "Geography" quiz but missed one of them.

That does happen to me a lot in the main site that the Quiz does not register my answer because I went too fast.

I was playing in another game a few months ago when my computer had issues, so I just left.

Lo and behold, when I got back it showed that I had answered all 10 questions correctly....in only a little over 6,000 seconds!! :oops:

Wait until I try Sports trivia tomorrow. It will probably be a 6000 seconds + one.

They really took from sports all around the world in this Quiz. Just guessed at most of these. Never been much into Sports Trivia. If you look at the questions you should be able to guess at least 7 of these right. I should have got one more of them if I followed my gut.
