Best hamburgers

I remember seeing a post a while back about where to get the best hamburger in the villages. Well I found a place. We went to the I-hop on 466 and had the best hamburger around. I was surprised the hamburger was moist and the bun was steamed just right, the service was great. Please check out the I-hop you won't be disappointed.

Evans Prairie every day.

THE Best Burger EVER - Bone Fish Grill. You'll pay for it, but it'll melt away all of your troubles. Take my word for it. I swear they take the best beef tenderloin and grind it up.

It was the first time I was ever at the Bone Fish Grill, but they are now head up my top burger list.

O'Shucks in Wildwood has the best burgers anywhere. Better then 5 guys, Bonefish, Cane Garden, and others. So moist, hand patted, good bun, perfectly cooked. Had gone for Osyters and saw everyone eating burgers so had to try one. YUMMMM

Someone said it wasn't ...um....... squeaky clean there? Never been there because I am allergic to shellfish. Used to love oysters. I don't even know if they are shellfish, but I think they would do me in.

Gracie, another one serverely allergic to shellfish but no worries about O'Shucks. It's one of those places that you'd think is dirty from general appearances, but it really isn't (I've peeked at the kitchen -- looks pretty middle of the road to me). I'm with l2 -- the burgers there are the best and the fries ain't bad, either!

I like Palmers! They charbroil it and has that nice flavor. Lopez serves a nice burger too

Mack184 05-04-2013 02:53 PM

Steak & Shake or 5-Guys. Either one...doesn't matter. They're both great. Although the 5-Guys in Ocala is better than the one in TV. And cheaper, too!

DaleMN 05-04-2013 10:07 PM

In The Villages; Steak and Shake & Five Guys both have very good hamburgers. But the best I've ever had is In and Out Burger. Unfortunately, they are not in FL.

DougB 05-04-2013 11:31 PM

Guess I'm not much of a connoisseur, but I love Burger King whoppers.

Well...If you ever get up to Ocala, stop in at Aunt Fannie's and have their 3/4 Pound Cheeseburger...
It takes up about half a platter and is only $6.49 with French Fries...

Then you will have a base to compare all your other wimpy burgers...

We're now addicted to ours here in Tampa and hoping
They eventually open one in T.V.
They have one also by U.C.F. In Orlando.

5 guys cant be beat............:pepper2:

bimmertl 05-06-2013 10:02 AM

You mean 441 north to almost 200. It's on the right.

Actually they have another "Aunt Fannies" on 441 on the east side of 441, just south of where 301 cuts into 441. I would guess that's in Belleview.

dolpterry 05-06-2013 02:13 PM

Woody,s in Wildwood has a very large and great burger

Yep, Belleview. Also home to the more auto parts stores per capita than any other town in the known and charted world!

I need a rare burger it's hard to find a good place that knows how to not kill a burger

'' Best Hamburgers ?????? "

Everyone has the best hamburgers ,RIGHT !!!! so after reading this blog I decided to check out " Aunt Fannies ". I was in Ocala today and stopped in for lunch .........the 3/4 lb was to big so I chose the `1/2 lb instead........
Well I'm here to report that I had the best hamburger of my life.....wait theres more.....The Fry's alone were worth the drive.....While I was raving about it I spoke to a fellow at the next table who stated that this diner was owned be the original owner and the one in Bellview was owned by another family and that he didn't think it was as good .......The food was fabulous but you had better be hungry....They make several cobblers and I can vouch for the blueberry . Mrs Fumar had the Veg. soup and brought home a large container of it saying its like Mom used to make........
Its not the RITZ but it was worth the time..........

No dogs allowed ......"not true, I made that up"

Fumar the culinary.............................:BigApplause:

Geewiz 05-07-2013 11:31 PM

It's a drive...but to die for...Bern's Steak House - Beef

BTW - the Châteaubriand Tips with optional crispy hash browns...this is the real deal....better than sex.

Aloha 05-08-2013 01:28 PM

Aunt Fannie's in Ocala not only has great Hamburgers...
You have to see the EXTENSIVE Menu to understand...
The Soups, The Cobblers, The Breakfast, and whatever is Fabulous...
Both for the quantity you get and the quality...
No wonder it has stayed so busy for all these years...
Also...Wave at the one in Belleview as you go by...Just not as good...
For a REAL Treat...Try Aunt Fannie's Hot Cakes...

Why do they call them "hamburgers"? Do they contain ham?

No! They are said to originate in Hamburg, Germany.

Now ask me about the frankfurter!

Bill-n-Brillo 05-09-2013 06:51 AM

In TV: Glenview.

Short drive outside: 110th Street Grille in Belleview (same owner as Glenview, we're told).

Longer drive: The Breakers Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach. Right on the ocean - well worth the drive!

Bill :)

That is a great burger and a better view .... their fish sammie is so fresh it had scales 5 mins before it hits your plate. :D

I gotta admit .... the burger at my local Beef's is not to shabby. Not as rare as I would like it, but not to bad.

I need to try Glenview .... prob this Sat for the special.

I suppose the frankfurter originated in Frankfurt, Germany. :)

Michigan Snowbirds 05-31-2013 09:20 PM

Will have to try some of the suggestions...our favorite cheeseburger in TV is at Cane Garden. However, the hostesses at Cane Garden are not very friendly...never crack a smile and God help you if you don't like where they seat you and ask for another empty table!

jojo 06-01-2013 06:13 AM

I agree with jblum. The patty melt at Evans Prairie. Sauteed onions. Ymmm good.
