What's there to complain about??

Just returned from visiting friends and family in upstate NY. While it was really good to see everyone, for the first time since living here we realized how much we missed The Villages. We all complain about this, that or the other thing from time to time but when we compared what we complained about while living in NY and what we complain about here, we realize our complaints are trivial. We felt so good when we heard the flight crew say "welcome to Orlando!" We just love living here and nothing compares to it.

We absolutely love living in The Villages and I kid my wife from time to time about moving away. Of course there are little things to complain about, on occasion, but there are mostly trivial items. We are in the middle of our annual two week visit to my folks on Cape Cod and miss our home. Last week we heard from some friends complaining about the rainy weather in TV but we told them to put it in the right perspective. That being it was 44 and foggy where we are. It probably sounds bad but we can't wait to get back home.

a "bad day" in TV is a really nice day in many parts of the planet.

Perspective for sure, for some it's needing contentment! But for me---live each day as it comes. We're NOT promised tomorrow and yesterday is gone, never to be retained!!!

Living here is such a blessing!!! All this winter we were reminded of that when reading/hearing about the weather "up north"!!! We came here to get away from all that!! We love living in The Villages!!! :beer3:

Really NOTHING to complain about!

I have a hard time coming up with improvement suggestions on the annual Village survey!....It's a wonderful day in the Villages....

If I was to move out of my present Village house, it would only be to another Villages house!

You said it better than I could. I so agree.

Another Hit the "Cool Aid"

Met a teacher the other day and we were told that a couple's last lesson was next week as they are moving to the Village of Gilchrist. We were elated as they talked about it for sometime but finally made the big jump. On the other hand, another couple came to our place early part of this year in The Villages but when I met them up north recently, they are moving to Florida but not to The Villages. We were disappointed as they are missing out on the fun IMHO though they'll be living only 45 min. from here. Their reason was value for money on a bigger home and closeness to a good hospital. For both of those points, I couldn't dissuade. However, I told them 40 o/o of the people come from other parts of Florida to The Villages. Will keep on supplying "Cool Aid".

Last tme I talked to my frends up north, they were complaining it's still too cold for this time of year. It sounds like they didn't even have any spring.

Last winter was brutal in the northeast so life in TV is good!

I couldn't agree with you more. We have been in Cleveland for 3 weeks. While it has been great seeing our friends and family, we miss our new friends and all the activities we are now involved in. Can't wait to return next week and get active again!

We cllosed this past Thursday and a lot of the names were from
Florida.

We've lived in Tampa for almost 16 years and we cannot wait
to sell our house here and move to T.V.

Just Got Back

We just got back from an 8 day trip up north. We spent 3 days in Williamsburg and had a great time. Next we went to Virginia Beach for 3 days to see our grandaughter compete in a huge cheerleading team competition, which is always exciting. Just got home and we both agree it was as great to be back as it was to go, so it will take a lot to get us out of TV for more than a couple days.

Back "when I was working" and living in the DC 'burbs, I would really hate to see a cruise end and I would say in a real down voice, "Oh, I have to go home now."

Now, when a cruise ends, I smile and say in an uptone voice, "Oh, I get to go back to The Villages and I'm happy with it".

Love your answer.
During my time as a Firefighter/EMT I remember having to leave a patient on a gurney in the hallway because all ER rooms were full and the waiting room, for walk ins, was full.

Anyway back to the subject so glad we have the web cams to look at while we are away from TV.

Plenty of other threads to discuss Hospital issues. Let's not hijack this one.

We were recently in San Diego for 8 days and even though it was beautiful and we had a great time we still missed 'home'. I'm off to golf with my Wednesday gang at Juliette Falls - I'll try to hit em straight.
