Parapychology Club.

A couple of days ago there was post about real estate disclosures that, well, with my help, got sidetracked into a paranormal discussion. I'm aware there is a Parapychology club in the villages and after studying their website I see articles discussing Tarot cards, astrology, angels and guides, and stuff but no paranormal related items. Are there any members on this forum that could give me a better idea if research of the paranormal is discussed at any of the meetings. thanks.

I also would be very interested in a Parapsychology group. Or a paranormal group. If there isn't one, I would be willing to start one.

DonH57 05-06-2013 10:38 AM

There is a Parapsychology group that meets I believe on the 2nd thursday of each month but I end up with other committments. Maybe this one I'll catch.

I am using my EP and see a poltergeist stealing esses. :)

DonH57 05-06-2013 11:20 AM

LOL, yep I realized afterward I did that, Ooopps.

I knew ahead of time..... that you were going to say that. :D

In fact, when I was little my Mom called me her "prescient little boy."

Or something like that.

On a more serious note, while I personally have never had what I would call a "paranormal experience"....I believe they exist.

It might be fun to attend one of the meetings mentioned. :coolsmiley:

I'd say most of my experiences were when I was between 6 to 14 years old and only periodically thru adulthood depending on where I was living at that time. I'm mainly curious because I'm interested to know if things like this exist beyond our understanding.

stuckinparadise 05-06-2013 12:08 PM

I've always been very curious about the paranormal as well. I bought a book titled, "Weird Florida." It has an entire chapter on the supernatural in the sunshine state. There is a town that has quite a few psychics living there. Just log on to Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp

gocubsgo 05-06-2013 02:54 PM

I have had so many paranormal experiences in my life, they would fill a book. I will look into that club. Hopefully it's listed in the Thurs Rec Center section.

All I know is that they net right after the Owners of the Brooklyn Bridge club.

DonH57 05-06-2013 10:42 PM

I'll have to look into what it would take to start up a paranormal interest group.

Make it three and include my husband too. I have ghost pictures and stories for everyone that will make you sleep with the lights on!

there are a lot of classes thru the learning college. Must be a network of folks to be accessed thru the instructors.

I sometimes attend meetings of the Parapychology Club. Often, there are interesting guest speakers. The last time I attended there was a Medium from Cassadaga speaking. I'm not sure if they have summer meetings.

DonH57 05-07-2013 01:34 PM

Sharing stories and pictures sound likes a great time. I believe the parapschology group meets next thursday at 2 pm at Lake Miona rec center but I'll double check because I plan to go.

Is this club open for new members? <g>

gocubsgo 05-07-2013 03:13 PM

You mean Thursday the 9th or 16th?

DonH57 05-07-2013 03:18 PM

The 16th.

VICAR OF DIBLEY 05-07-2013 10:36 PM

Parapsychology

The club is open to all new members.

It is fairly easy to start a new club in TV. Contact the Recreation Department, fill out their form, and through the Recreation Department you will find out what is involved.

Friends of ours started a new club here about 18 months ago, and they were surprised with the overwhelming response.

Paranormal here in TV - if the posts still exist check out Julia, someone please correct me if I am wrong.

VICAR OF DIBLEY 05-07-2013 10:42 PM

Here is one link

You can also check out Donna a long time member of TOTV. She had her own Paranormal business.

DonH57 05-08-2013 11:07 AM

Thanks Vicar. I'll check it out.

PR1234 05-09-2013 08:06 PM

I believe Donna has passed away:(

I once met a very petite woman, who also went around talking about parapsychology.

She was a small Medium...at large.

DonH57 05-09-2013 11:35 PM

Ha Ha Ha , LOL. Very funny on the small medium at large. I've heard variations of that joke.I certaintly hope this person named Donna did not pass. Sorry to hear if it's true. I was hoping to get some more info.

VICAR OF DIBLEY 05-10-2013 03:16 PM

Donna

I am sorry to say but Donna has died. She was a wonderful, vivacious person.

There was once going to be a gathering at Lake Sumter Landing in reference to Julia, at the last moment it was cancelled due to an unkind person. I will see if I can find the picture of Julia that was seen by some.

DonH57 05-10-2013 06:00 PM

I'm so very sorry to hear of her passing. Never met her and can't remember if I seen her posts. I read the " Julia " story. Very interesting.
