Blacklist

Stars Megan Boone (granddaughter of Gary Moorse and daughter of Jennifer Paar). Great action packed drama. I didn't know when I first watched it who Megan Boone was. She is very good as is the entire cast.

mmac321 10-10-2013 06:27 AM

We think it's the best new show.

graciegirl 10-10-2013 07:41 AM

Megan Boone? I heard that Gary Morse's granddaughter was starring in something.

When is it on? Blacklist? I don't recall seeing it.

Jennifer's daughter, Megan, is a wonderful actress. Most people will recognize her from Law and Order. She is great in the lead role in Blacklist. I love the new show. Here is a link to other shows and movies that she has been in.

We are also a big fans of James Spader. Loved him and William Shatner together in Boston Legal.

Love Blacklist
Love Homeland
Love Orange is the New Black
didn't watch Hostages yet will watch it this weekend.

It is an excellent production. If you have not seen it yet do try to get the rerun of the series opener as it sets the tone for the objective of the series. If you have comcast it is easy to search for past episodes.

The quality of the acting is superb. Serious subject matter, laced with both suble and not so subtle humor.

I thought week one of Blacklist was unbelievable. No bathroom breaks there. Week two was a huge disappointment. Week three was very good but still not as insanely great as week one. As for Boone, I just didn't think she was that great...just my opinion. Of course, Spader eats everyone alive so it might be too much to ask for her to make a mark playing aside him. I'll have to check on Law and Order; I have no recollection of her. Looking forward to next week to see if it is going to stay as action packed.

I agree that James Spader is very talented. I miss Boston Legal .... Spader and Shatner were great together.

BETHPAGE BLACK 10-11-2013 08:21 PM

Hostages also very good show. My favorite is SCANDAL on Thurs nite at
10pm.....I really do believe that alot of what happens on that show happens in our government!

pooh 10-11-2013 09:15 PM

Really enjoy Blacklist. Wasn't the biggest fan of Spader until this series....he's great. Enjoying Megan's acting and her character on this show.

Wonder how long it will take for us to know the relationship between these two....Elizabeth Keen and Reddington.....and then there's her husband!

Ditto!:agree:

shcisamax 10-12-2013 07:17 AM

I am beginning to think that Reddington might actually be her father. There has been a lot of mystery about her father being a criminal..he was "friends" with him. Maybe a little hanky panky there. But we'll see.

BritParrothead 10-13-2013 03:20 AM

Blacklist

Watched the first episode last night, on my iPad! Have set T V to record future episodes. My kind of programme. Good acting all round.
Thanks for the heads up!

Bonnevie 10-13-2013 10:43 AM

It's good but I find Hostages to be way more interesting.

BarryRX 10-13-2013 10:58 AM

Love the show and love James Spader in it.

I am not certain but Reddington made a flirty kinda comment in the last episode which I doubt he would have made to his daughter.

The writers of the show must have predicted the viewer would assume father and daughter ........we shall see in the meantime I am enjoying this show.

Just started watching Hostages saw 3 episodes back to back, I really enjoyed all the twists and turns..

I loved Toni Collette, she is a great actress, her show The United States of Tara
where she played several different characters was really entertaining.

I don't remember the flirty comment you are referring to. What led me to believe that he might be her father is that he knew her father, when she said you have nothing, he replied, "I have you" , and the mystery behind the fire which she doesn't remember what happened but he does. He appears to have followed her for a long time...something a father would do. I could be completely off base. As you said, the writers who seem to love to "gotcha" may have led the audience to deduct this more obvious connection. But as you say, "We shall see."

Love The Blacklist! It's a must watch in our house, great stories, script and acting!

unfortunately, Hostages airs opposite The Blacklist and not doing well because of it. I wish they would change the time. I find the story more compelling and the acting really good....I'd hate to see it go off.

kittygilchrist 11-05-2013 09:51 AM

too much gore for me. I supposed the Boone girl is the sister of Paige, who plays polo.

Yes, Megan is Paige's older sister. Their mother is Jennifer Parr.

kagney123 11-11-2013 07:18 PM

Did anyone else notice the apple? One appears in a few of the BLacklist episodes.
I noticed it in the last one it was in the surveillabce van ..... There is mystery someone who is an apple eater and I bet a bad guy too.

Apple's don't fall too far from trees. Good stock there, even if they are from Michigan.

Go Bucks.

NotGolfer 11-11-2013 11:29 PM

The man, she has known as her father (adopted her at 4) was murdered by "Red" tonight! The plot gets thicker...perhaps he is her dad....OR if it's written by a good story writer it's just a ploy to make us think he's that. I always love a great mystery. This line is too early in this story.......

Pepperhead 11-11-2013 11:42 PM

Most TV series require us to "suspend disbelief" and although this one takes that to a new level, I enjoy it.

Oh Gracie...another reason to like you!! :^)

shcisamax 11-12-2013 06:43 AM

I am fairly convinced he is her dad. He just loves her too much. The actual surprise may be not that he is her father but how he came to lose her. We already know it had something to do with the fire and the "stewmaker". In his discussion with her husband, he was pretty frank when he said that her father always would be right there with her looking after her and protecting her.

NotGolfer 11-12-2013 02:23 PM

I'm also wondering about the husband!!!! I watched his expressions as Red was talking to him about the father. There is "something" going on there with him as well...don't think he's exactly presenting himself as she thought.

Mimivillager 11-12-2013 03:52 PM

It is too goory and bloody for me.

rdhdleo 11-12-2013 04:00 PM

Love this show, one of the best out there!!!!

kagney123 11-12-2013 04:20 PM

On Blacklist, has any other fan notice the apple clue? An apple appears in a few episodes.. It reminds me of the premise where in a film, you only saw the cigarette drop and get crushed but not the smokers face...we have evolved in film now we use apples instead LoL

hoovergolf 11-12-2013 07:23 PM

Best new show of the season!! Mondays at 10:00. Great homegrown talent.
