Updates on Colony docs
 

I am interested in the Colony Health Care Center. I understand some of the docs are full. And some on the list may be temporarily at Colony but will move to the other centers. The website lists these doctors: Jordahl, Betts, Clifford, Cusimano, Hocutt, Long, Nguyen, Reilly and Hawley. I've reviewed the threads and only a couple are mentioned. Does anyone have any updates about your experiences with these doctors?

If you can get Dr. Betts, go for it.. He is great, compassionate and caring

I totally agree about Dr. Betts.

We both like Dr Betts. We find everyone at Colony very nice but they have a loooonnng way to go on computer skills! Things apparently get put into the computers but aren't making it through the system without hitches!

I would really do your homework. We waited two months for our appt. with Dr. Riley only to be called that he is going on vacation. They want to reschedule us for another month out.
Colony Health has some serious issues to address.

I have Dr. Clifford and really like him. He spent time with me and was very thorough

Initial Meeting
 

How does Colony bill for the initial meeting with the Doctor ?

I have not had my initial meeting but am curious since I don't think it is an exam .

I have alreday had my annual physical.

I have BC/BS

When I recently scheduled our initial appt., I was told Drs. Noel, Hawley, Jordhl, and Clifford were no longer accepting new patients. Hope this helps!

Love Dr. Noel. Is she still there?

Dr Noel is going to Pinellas when it opens.

She is also a superb diagnostician!

I didn't know there was competition to get accepted. Wow, howdy all you seniors. We're a fishbowl aren't we?

Dr. Noel has reached her max and not taking any new patients. Don't know if that will change when she goes to Pinellas.

Why is she going to Pinellas? Will her present patients see her there?

She will be the Medical Director at Pinellas.

Had first visit this morning with Dr. Riley, no waiting talked without being rushed, got flu shot, scheduled blood work etc, results will be online.

I can go online to ask or discuss anything with him.

He's from NY and knew my old Doc's so that was nice.

High tech, looks like a great place.

A-Plus to Villages Health Care at Colony. My wife, MIL, and I have been with Dr. Jordahl and his PA David Fisher for several months. I just finished going through a bit of a scare and those two guys were incredible. They're probably the best our family has ever had. I also like their affiliation with the hospital and local referrals if needed. We're also very pleased with our dentist, eye doctor, and dermatologist. Everyone worries about relocating and finding good medical services. We did a lot of research and we lucked out.

We also have Dr. Jordahl and intend to use the VHS - would certainly appreciate the names of your dentist, eye, and derm MD's Thx. Jimmie

We're happy with Dr Bennett at Buena Vista Dental.

Does anyone know anything about Dr Hocutt? I signed up with him but do not know much about him except his bio.

He's my doctor. I've only seen him once, but was very pleased with him. I had occasion to go back on a day that Dr Hocutt was unable to see me, and saw Dr. Long. Dr. Long was great to deal with, too. He was very personable, took his time, and I have been very pleased with the results of my visit.

Glad to here....Dr. Hocutt will be our physician, also. We see him next month.
