Welcome Home Snowbirds.
The traffic is denser
The long lines are tenser The northern birdies are back The wait is much longer The accents are stronger The northern birdies are back The squares are more dancey Tee times are more chancey The northern birdies are back. Old friends are returning The night oil is burning The northern birdies are back. There's more entertaining And much more complaining The northern birdies are back. Not much room at the market And no where to park it The northern birdies are back Rookies on the roadways Folks driving in strange ways The northern birdies are back. New ones and old ones younger ones and older ones The northern birdies are back. Welcome HOME! We missed you. |
Love it, Gracie! You are so creative. I will be spending my first year as a snowbird, arriving in a few days, and really appreciate your welcome.
I hope I will have the opportunity to meet you. |
Like your poem. Graciegirl.

Very nice welcome poem, Gracie. Having been a snowbirds for a while, love the welcome mat from our neighbors when we return. Though they gave me hard time in jest like crowding out all facilities, etc. Now that we are a Froggie, we do miss the snowbirds and looking forward to their return. The group is not the same without them. Now I realize they missed us sincerely. There are longer lines but we can wait. Patience is a virtue. Carry an I-Pad and read some good books while you wait.

Nice Gracie! I love when all my friends return...I missed them!

Very nice poem, Gracie. I can't wait to experience the snowbird effect in TV.

We are still visiting our Northern friends and grandchildren but you are very insightful in your observations of the snowbird/snowflak model that helps make TV a great place to "nest". I think most residents agree with your insight on this subject.
A very nice poem----what talent you have and others have here in TV. How nice to hear positive remarks regarding TV'S snowbirds. |

If we had a like button, I'd give you 100 likes, Gracie. My Northern friends on our cul-de-sac are just starting to come back home. I have missed them and do miss the two couples who haven't returned yet.

Thank you Graciegirl for this lovely poem. You've made all of us snowbirds/snowflakes feel very welcome.

We actually spend the majority of our time in TV. (Guess we're snowflakes) We're up north for the holidays and this AM it was minus 11 !! Coming back Tuesday...and we promise to leave the cold weather up north! |

And thanks also to Challenger. :ho: |
Thank you for that Grace! We would be there now if our twin three year old grandsons had not decided to join the outside world on January 18. Hope to see our many TV friends beginning in February, and we promise not to cause too much trouble.
