I Am Finally a Villager

Hi,

I have been lurking on this site for a few months as I was planning my move here. Well, it finally happened, and now I am in the process of doing all the work associated with moving. I have not even been here a week, but it already feels like home. Previous posts on TOTV have helped me pick home and auto insurance, look for some furniture, shop for a golf car, etc.

Thanks to all who have posted useful information for newbies.

Welcome!!! I wish my journey was only a few months. I started looking at TV 15 years ago............in my 40's. Stuck with the same Broker, what a trooper!! We just built this year and closed in September. I didn't quite meet the age requirements, but they gave me a waiver. Enjoy the process.

Pretty good guesses, Kitty. I am single and a retired statistician. Would like to be able to go to the meet and greet tonight but already have plans.

Intuition. I love it when it works. Meet you later.

bkcunningham1 11-06-2013 02:12 PM

A single, retired statistician. What are the chances of that?

BK, thanks for believing that I have magic! I'd say I'm an average girl and it's true.

Average Guy uses "I" to describe himself. Couples say "we"...ergo, AG is single.
He calls himself Average Guy. but who cares about average? Certainly not average guys, who conflate. Therefore, Average Guy must be above average.

To be Average Guy, you have to be comfortable calculating whether you are an average guy and also with understating your exceptional status in order to deny being average. Therefore Average Guy is a mathematician, to whom average means a specific quantity, or as our mystery guy states, he is a statistician.

Welcome GooooooD for U

Schaumburger 11-06-2013 06:00 PM

Average Guy, Congratulations and enjoy your new home and froghood. May your settling in process be "above average."

Kitty,

I'm betting you've got the murderer picked out in the first 10 pages. You're amazing! I cheat by reading the last page first.

Katie

Meddick, I am astounded by the diversity of places you have lived. What an interesting life you must have had. Are you now splitting your time between India and Collier?

A belated welcome to the forum!
