Name of Country Club with great hamburger

Does anyone know the name of the Country Club that is supposed to have great Hamburgers? Was it Mallory?? .....can't remember.

shcisamax 11-16-2013 05:25 PM

I think it is Palmer. I could be wrong but I thought I heard that.

redwitch 11-16-2013 05:39 PM

Probably thinking of Cane Garden but I haven't been as thrilled with them lately as I used to be.

Arnold Palmer, without a doubt! Tastes like a steak burger, best in town!:bigbow:

Glenview Country Club is the one. Welcome to the Glenview Country Club Restaurant
Name that Black Angus Burger
Looking for the Famous Glenview Burger? Black & Bleu Burger? How about our Mushroom Swiss Burger? Look no further! Just say the word (up to 3 toppings). $7.79

california dreamer 11-16-2013 06:15 PM

Brought our visiting family to Glenview to try their famous $5 burgers. disappointed to say the least. Steak n' Shake has a better burger, and they give ya fries! But the best by far is Arnold Palmer Country Club.

I disagree.

I've had very good burgers at Evans Prairie. I"ve also had very good burgers at Johnny Rockets. And at OShucks.

I like the portabella mushroom burger at Mallory. I order it medium well with swiss cheese and mayo on the side. Hubby likes a side of their great onion rings.

gerryann 11-16-2013 08:37 PM

Thanks everyone :)

Mallory, fresh not frozen, cooked to your liking, several varieties....

It's Glenview. Ask anyone who plays softball. Many, Many players and their families will stop at Glenview for a burger after their game. They're $5 with chips or instead you can have with fries for a $1 more. Best burger and bun around.

I use to love Steak N Shake, been eating them all my life since I was in high school. They were a drive-in back in the 60's and in St. Petersburg that was our hangout. I've grown tired of SnS, a little too dry and the bun is nothing fancy. They do have great milk shakes and if you go in the afternoon during happy hour they are half price.

Don't go to the pool grill at Lopez. I made that mistake once. The burger was $9 and was half the size of the Glenview burger.

Love the burger at Glenview & Nancy Lopez.

Sounds strange but the best burger I have tasted is in the gas station at colony. Little café run by a villager but the leanest with no grease dripping burger and fresh cut fries. I had one with halopenas and they were fresh, not from a jar. Palmer does have good burgers also.

keithwand 11-17-2013 04:14 PM

Do you get gas after?
Have to try the burger there but not much ambiance.

Five guys is great but it uses my entire monthly foodstamp allowance to go there. Best Dollar burger is the macdouble @ Mickey D's extra pickles you get two of them combined them and you got a four burger for 2 bucks!

The G's like Glenview, Mallory, Cane Garden, TooJays and best of all Palmer. They grill them and the smokey taste is wonderful.

yabbadu 11-18-2013 10:08 AM

I have enjoyed burgers at both Bonifay and Evans Prairie

Bill32 11-18-2013 09:01 PM

Ruby Tuesday also makes a great burger

DougB 11-18-2013 10:11 PM

Whoppers are my burger of choice.

Everyone forgot the Oasis Bar & Grill at the Legacy Country Club.
(At least they used to be good.)

I don't know about country clubs, but Gator's Dockside in Spanish Springs has a great burger. If you like a real traditional greasy burger you should try the Pub at the Fiesta Bowl. The best tasting unhealthiest burger I've ever had.

PaPaLarry 11-20-2013 06:30 AM

My two favorite places are Palmers and Lopez!!!!
