Does TV have a river ?

I just saw another thread that has a cottage with 2010 price and today. It went up $50,000 @ that rate on my 5 year plan I will be living in a bus down by the river. My 1% raise , no COLA ever is not going to make it. My old bones will not allow me to take on a paper route. We all got a laugh when the same day the new rates for health plan came out. Anyone want to take a guess ? It is time for a third job. This one will have to be some kind of work @ home.

Prices have gone up dramtically in general, but I am sure you can find something on the historic side without having to live in a bus by the river. :D
It's still better than freezing one butt off, in Illinios. :cold:

I think, most people are not happy about price increase in COLA as it doesn't even cover the inflation of prices.

Get on down here ASAP.

There may be room under the golf cart bridge.

indianavette 11-18-2013 03:23 PM

Not there yet, however, it appears that we need a gatekeeper:)

Do you know if the bridges have sewer vents to heat a box?

You are asking for a lot here, Kid. I could loan you the propane heater from my golf cart if it gets that cold or you could try the orange grove method. Try spraying water on yourself on nights when the temperatures go below freezing. The ice acts as insulation and prevents damage to the fruit.

Well I do not want to freeze my fruit but having ice on them does not sound to good. :jester:

Bev and Micki are the best. We bought our Springdale house last May from them.

Yeah, you'd have to change your name to Walks with Frozen Blueberries.

"B-Trouble-K", didn't I see a big sign like that over your house?

CFrance 11-18-2013 05:26 PM

Wow, blueberries. I woulda thought, um, something larg... oh, never mind.

Skybo 11-18-2013 05:29 PM

Cisco, I didn't see the thread you are referring to, but were there a lot of improvements and/or bond payoff that contributed to that increase? Prices are going up, but 50K sounds like a lot if your comparing apples to apples.

In any case, a van down by the river would be more affordable than a bus. Or you might be able to rent some space in VillageShooter's box.

CFrance 11-18-2013 05:34 PM

You cannot take those puppies and go live under a bridge. :rant-rave: Go back to the sleeping-on-someone's-lanai idea.

travelguy 11-18-2013 06:30 PM

well am glad that we purchased 5 years ago, altho the first four years saw a decrease in the value of our brand new home, and the taxes on it also went down. this year the value has gone up, and i suppose that the taxes will also. i see what folks are asking for their homes, just am unsure that they will get what they are asking. will stay put, thank you, and enjoy our time here. and our heirs can figure it all out.

Remember, things shrink when cold. Sides, it may have something to do with the fact that we women can't tell measurements (something about being told 3 inches is really 6 inches).

Remnds of the Seinfield routine where George said it was shrinkage from being in the cold water.

Sadly, I was. Figured someone would have to brag (or be into wishful thinking). (Yes, I'm ducking now.)
