Coffee, tea but not me

As I sit at my computer this morning with my cup of Joe/Java I am wondering -- do more people drink coffee for their morning picker-upper or do they drink tea.
I drink regular coffee in the morning, and decaf at night ( never ever Postum). My wife drinks "a nice" cup of tea. Our children, who have a morning beverege, drink cofee.

I start the day with a couple of cups of strong tea. During the day I migrate to coffee. In the evening I go back to tea.

Had my last cup of coffee in March of last year. I drink two cups of Chamomile tea a day.

For me, it's a nice cup of tea.
Growing up in an Irish household, there was always a pot of tea on the table.
I didn't even taste coffee until I was in my late twenties. I have never liked coffee and still don't drink it.
My husband, on the other hand, drinks a cup of very strong coffee every morning.

Brencpa 12-03-2013 09:10 AM

Can of Diet Mountain Dew for me. Never got the taste for coffee or tea.

Coffee in the morning - could not wake up without it.

janieb 12-03-2013 10:17 AM

Never drink coffee, do not like it, also do not like to drink hot liquids. I usually drink pop and when I drink tea, it is Ice Tea

2 cups of Hazelnut coffee in tha AM. Tea at night.

I believe, tea contains more caffeine.

Enough sleep for me, usually helps too!!!!!

Family jokes that I drink so much coffee that if I give blood the person who got my unit would get a caffeine buzz.

I drink nothing but tap-water all day long because tap-water is slightly alkaline and does a body good. Coffee, on the other hand, is highly acidic. Sweetened soda has an acidic effect on the body too. Tea, depending on what kind it is, and whether or not it's sweetened, can have an acidic effect on the body. (Alcohol is acidic too.)

In addition to beverages, there are various foods that make the body acidic as well. And a highly acidic diet provides an environment favorable to the development of cancer.

You shouldn't need to drink acidic beverages as a pick-me-up. If you're healthy, you should wake up in the morning refreshed and eager to get on with the day. If you're not healthy and don't wake up refreshed, see your doctor.

So no liquids for you, eh Doug?

Sandy likes a cup or two of coffee in the a.m. She has to go with decaf - doctor's orders. Me? I never acquired a taste for coffee. Occasionally some hot tea or sweet tea (especially Southern sweet!), but neither of them in the mornings.
