2 Good Dogs Looking For New Home on Lost and Found

Please check TV's Lost and Found if you would like to adopt dogs found by a VERY good Samaritan recently.
They have 2 dogs already so can't keep them.
We have 2 ourselves so no room here either.
They need a home for Christmas and sound very loving.

Jsling 12-22-2013 08:39 PM

2 Dogs Need a Home

These two dogs are getting spayed and neutered tomorrow. They will be up to date on their shots.
The male is the tan one and he is so smart and protective of his new family. He watches out for all of us, but not aggressive. My older Bichon scares him, lol. He'd rather be petted and rubbed than eat. You can put your hand in his mouth when he is eating and take the food right out of his mouth. He has a huge bladder and will not relieve himself in the house no matter how long his is in. I think he is about 2 years old but with that old gentle type soul.
I don't have to correct him too much but when I do, he listens right away.

The female is sweet and I think she is about a year old. She wants to be a lap dog and enjoys to be cuddled and fussed over. She is easy to train as well and is learning good manners quickly. She no longer wolfs her food down, thanks to the advice of putting a few golf balls in her food. She listens to the word "no" very well.

They both get along well and can be taken together or apart.
Please someone they need a home bad.
PM me if you are considering them.
They won't let me repost the picture again. It is in the lost and found section under found 2 dogs

Yes, please help me find a home for these two lovely babies. I have spoiled them, but can't keep them. I am going to have to take them to a no-kill shelter in Citrus County by Tuesday if no one claims them here. They say they'll foster them immediately.
My old Bichons are very stressed, but these two strays have been neutered and spayed, received their rabies shots and I dewormed the male dog.
They eat from my hand as I have spoiled them. They deserve it. They are sweeter than anybody deserves from two dogs who have been abandoned like garbage.
I hope to find a forever home for them before Tuesday.
Please help me.

I have found a very nice home for the Little Girl, now I need one for the little boy. I am so happy for her. It's a friend I know who will spoil her. She has a corgie so she will have a friend to play with.
I feel bad for the little boy. He needs a home.
Please everyone, spread the word. Little Boy needs a home.

Bump. Hope Little Boy find a forever home soon!

Jsling 12-29-2013 08:02 PM

I found 2 strays December 15th and didn’t have the heart to just let them go to the pound. They were outside the Sweetbay supermarket on 466 A in The Villages.
I heard everyone concerned they were going to “hurt someone”. They were so sweet and were just hungry for attention.
I opened my backseat car door and they both jumped in .
I took them home. Gave them Comfortis. Bathed them 3 out of 4 days. God rid of all the fleas.
I then took them to my Vet and 2 other Vets, put them on the radio station and here.
But no one has claimed them.

My vet has spayed them and given them their rabies shots last Monday.

I have 2 elderly Bichons who aren’t doing well with this.

I did find a good home for the little girl, but the male is not so lucky.

I am dropping off the little girl tomorrow morning with a very good friend whom I know well, so she is so very lucky.

The male is Little Boy and isn’t so lucky YET.

I was going to take him to the Citrus County No-Kill Shelter as I understand they have foster homes and not kennels.

Would you be able to help me before I have to do that. I don’t want to kennel him.
I want to find a forever home or a very good foster home for him.

He is protective, affectionate but not aggressive.
He is quiet and sweet and just wants to be petted before he eats.

He has been dewormed which has helped his appetite.
He loves the little girl and will be heartbroken.
That is why I am giving him one more week with me, since I don’t want him to feel abandoned.
I just hope and pray my 2 geriatric Bichons can hold out one more week.

Please help me .

You have so much love in your heart, you are so kind. I sure wish I could help, but we're at our two-dog limit. Every time I read one of your posts, I admire you more.

He is so calm, that picture is of him taking over yet another of my dogs beds. They will get all new stuff for being so good. There is nothing wrong with his paws; he didn't want to get up to eat as he was too comfortable, lol. Now, if I had called him over to be petted, he would have jumped straight up in the air.
He wants hugs and pets and just rub him all over. That, he wants more than food.

He's a lovely little fellow, and sounds very affectionate.

I feel so bad that they were separated but good that little girl has a great home. You truly are wonderful. I am spreading the word all around to people I know about 2 dogs, but now that its 1 dog only, maybe I'll get a more positive response. Praying for good results.

BTW, have you ever posted how much this has cost you? I sincerely want to help you with the expense, at least a little. If you post it, I'm sure many will want to help also.

Respectfully, KathieI

Kathie, I have spent 300 dollars on these dogs. It was more than I wanted to certainly. I hate to ask people. I couldn't afford it, but I also couldn't let them go without the spay and neuter and rabies shots. Thanks for asking

Yay,,,,Little Boy has his Forever home and it's one of us on here.
I'll let her tell everyone she has him. I won't disclose her but suffice it to say, he is going to be very spoiled and I can tell he loves her already.
He is going to be so happy. It warms my heart to see this happen.
This morning I was thinking he was going to the Shelter tomorrow because she got her home, but now it's 4 pm and he has his home.
Yayyy.
Now, the nice lady who took little Boy from me paid me for his neuter. I won't need money from anyone. I can afford the little Girls bills.
Thanks everyone.

SAD, SAD, SAD,
She isn't keeping him. He guarded his bowl and the cat is scared of him. I don't blame her. I am just sad for Little Boy.

I don't find either of these situations something to be surprised at. He is in new surroundings, without his girlfriend, and the cat has probably never had a dog that close before. So so sorry it didn't work out, but apparently just wasn't meant to be. Still praying for little boy.

duffysmom 12-30-2013 06:06 PM

Sad. I'm not surprised to hear he was guarding his food and of course the cat will be leary at first. It takes time for everyone to acclimate to a new member of the family. We'll keep praying and spreading the word about Little Boy.

I'm sad for Little Boy. Fingers crossed that his forever owner is out there and will show up soon!

Jsling 12-31-2013 02:16 PM

Little Boy spent the day in the car with me. Poor guy.
He was quiet last night. I fussed over him and he slept in the kitchen in my girls bed.
Today I went to the Citrus County No-Kill shelter but got turned away bc they copied my license and said I had to take him the Sumter County one.
I understand that, but was very disappointed.
So, we got back in the car and the Sumter Shelter is a kill shelter, so I went to the Humane Society who turned me away bc they were full.
I then called my friend who lives in Citrus County who gave me the name of the shelter and she agreed to take him there under her name.
Once she met him, she made a few phone calls and was on her way to her friends house who may take him in and foster him for us. If her friend won't, I think my friend will. She is a softie, much like me.
I was going to take him back home with me, but my eldest Bichon is very stressed and living in my bedroom and the little one won't get off the couch.
They are too old for change.
I was in tears after the Humane Society.
I was hurting for poor Little Boy.
I'm glad my friend has him. She has a lot of property and will make sure he is safe.

Poor Little Boy, he will miss your love. Poor Jsling, you went to such great lengths for both these dogs. Hopefully, he will at least end up in a kind foster home.

In my books, you're an angel.

Jsling 12-31-2013 08:16 PM

Thanks everyone. I have been feeling guilty all day, but everyone has helped me tremendously.
My friend did have to take him to the shelter but she told them she would take him back if they couldn't place him.
Thanks for all your support. You're a great bunch of people

Update,
Little Girl's name is Sheila and is loving her new home. My friend Jordan loves her and the feeling is mutual. She has made new friends with the neighbors dogs and Jordan said she is playing and running with them. Such great news.
I haven't heard of Little Boy, but will keep everyone update. Thanks so much for your support.

CFrance 01-01-2014 09:07 PM

That's great news, jsling, especially about Sheila.

Jsling 02-06-2014 05:59 PM

Little girl is named Sheila and is spoiled rotten and the neighborhood girl. She is having a blast. She is dressed up, goes everywhere with her new owner. She is much loved. Thank God
Little Boy...last update was he wasn't adopted yet, but everyone at the shelter loves him and they have agreed to keep him until he is either adopted or fostered. I will donate money to them to keep him. The promised to call my friend if they have to do anything we won't like. They said he is gentle and kind and loved there.

gomoho 02-06-2014 06:07 PM

So sorry to hear little boy hasn't found his forever home. Hoping for the best for him. Glad little girl is happy.
