Coyote spotted.
So I'm sitting out front our garage enjoying my tunes and I see a coyote walking down the adjacent street as a car follows him. The coyote runs in between two houses so the driver of the car turns into the driveway of one of the houses and turns on his high beams. The car then backs out the driveway and goes back up the side street. I had no idea coyote were around here but with all the other animals I've seen it shouldn't surprise me.

There was a black panther spotted a few years back in the Preserve Area just south of San Marino Drive. In November I saw a coyote about 7 AM in the morning on the Churchill Greens golf course behind us. He was loping along, on his way back to his family I presume. Even though we have only small ponds behind us, we have seen a gator come through the irrigation pipes, he didn't stay around long.
We displaced a lot of animals when The Bubble was built. Many of the animals are still living on the golf courses and in preserve areas. Sometimes I see a lot of bunny rabbits around .. but sadly for them, I think they get gobbled up pretty quickly. |
I've seen rabbits, oppossum, and a skunk behind our house and the neighbors behind us. I agree about the displacement of critters due to building out. The golf courses are like the next to last rufuge.

The car following the coyote was the "Pet Patrol Officer" - he is making sure the coyote does his job

If there were a comeback post of the month, this would have to be the winner! |

I truly believe I saw A bobcat about 30 yards from my driveway last weekend. Neighbors say it might have been a coyote. I know it was a bobcat! I stopped in my driveway and slowly walked backwards into the garage. When I slid the screen open it took off!

I've seen a few Mustangs, maybe a few Cougars, 2 Impalas, lots of Cadillacs
and Lincolns, but not many Bentleys or Teslas. :mornincoffee: |

They will run when a person comes into sight. Nothing to be afraid of if you see a bobcat. If Little Fluffy is running around without a leash, the bobcat has much easier pickings than chasing a rabbit - but whose fault is that? |

I've seen Old Crow and Wild Turkey. Drank a few too.
