Vic's Embers Supper Club in Leesburg caught fire just before midnight and firefighters battled the flames most of the morning. The building is a total loss.

Maybe they can re build here in The Villages? Always had good food there.
|
What an absolute shame! So enjoyed that place. The owners must be devastated.

maybe a candidate for Orange Blossom Hills CC.

Very sad news
DW and I along with friends have enjoyed special occasion meals there on a few different celebrations and always enjoyed being spoiled. Hopefully it will come back even better then before.

Hubby and I had a very special date there before we were married. I loved the place. music, food, dancing. One of my most wonderful memories in the spring of 2001 before he asked me to marry him!!...I am heart-sick that this happened. I can only hope that they can rebuild...shame though....more employees out of work during the holidays!!

One of my favorite restaurants---especially for special occasions. Vic himself was often there making sure all was well. This is a loss for the area
|
This is such a loss to the area and makes at least four restaurants that have closed since last season, including Orange Blossom, Fridays and O'Sheas.

Cause and origin still to be determined?????????????????
|
They said on news they will rebuild. Will take about 6 months. Right now they are trying to take care of their employees
|
This was one of my favorite places when I wanted to get out of the bubble. The dark wooden bar and old time feeling. This is very sad.
|
just saw that Vic was selling his food trucks and a big mobile grill on craigslist .... hope it is just to raise $$$$$ to keep things afloat / repair of his restaurant and not a total liquidation to leave the biz.

Maybe he is retiring? I would guess he was insured. He isn't a spring chicken and restaurant business is NO walk in the park. |
We went to a benefit fish fry for the employees a couple of weeks ago, were told there they'd be back in business about July.
