Not much into "horror" movies. At the time I did enjoy "Escape from New York". I remember seeing it in a small theater where they had to change spools during the showing.

Generally prefer the original version of movies. The Thing from another world (James Arness), King Kong (Fay Ray, Dracula (Bela Lugosi), etc. Letting your imagination participate in creating the horror or romance or drama. There is a place for good special effects, but not every movie needs to go "over the top" if the story is good.

I would probably go with They Live, starring Rowdy Roddy Piper. It is really a very good film. But I prefer the classic Hollywood horror movies also.
