Hunter exhaust fan/light fixture - I give up!

1 Attachment(s)
I'm unable to access the lightbulbs in the attached photo of the Hunter fixture.

I can spin the glass lens an inch or two in either direction but that's it. It doesn't "unscrew", nor does it want to drop down at any point along the spin.

I've also attempted to pull the whole fixture down from the ceiling, but it doesn't want to separate...easily...from the ceiling.

Instead of sledgehammering it or forcing separations - I'm seeking the insights of my Village neighbors....for my wife's sanity.

Anyone have this fixture and know how to access the bulbs?

From the manual it looks like it should drop down at some point in the spin. Maybe just need to keep trying if it’s stuck a bit.

It’s a Hunter 90052.

That's super - thank you for the quick response!

The manual hook up - that's something I should have done.

Most appreciated!

You're welcome. I've struggled with similar lights in the past. Sometimes just being sure how it is supposed to be removed is the most important part. I was able to search your image to find the model. Gave me something to do on a cold rainy morning here in Massachusetts.

Good Morning, What part of Mass? My family is still there. One gets a little more homesick during the holidays. Dee.

We are in Westminster. Own a house in the villages but can’t retire for a couple years.

Excellent point - I went back and knowing the right direction, really put the pressure on it and it finally turned enough to where it released. Project completed!!!

Have a healthy new year...

A poorly designed product. I have a plastic aerator on my kitchen faucet with the same problem. It won't unscrew even with the specially designed wrench. I will eventually need to replace the entire faucet.

Sad situation as so many products are poorly designed with cheap materials. Irritating for those of us who were using/working on products manufactured before the 80's.

Nice. Probably 2.5 years before I make it full time. Our house is in Lake Denham. I go to Groton often for Forge and Vine, my favorite restaurant. Gibbet Hill a close second.

Looks like we will need a club for central mass people that fix cheaply made products. :D
