Ordered stuffed sole with rice .. waiter says comes with green beans .. I said no tx to the beans .. offers upgrade of broccoli which I say great tx
Both meals come with beans .. I ask nicely if he miswrote the beans he says no the chef changed it but if I wait he can get a side order of broccoli
Wanting to eat together I decline .. no biggie .. paid the bill .. great tip for waiter and mgr comes and says sorry that they ran out of broccoli .. I said not true they offered it .. mgr then says Oh .. I can get you an order to go or here is a $5 voucher for next visit … lol .. said no thanks

Slow news day?

Just because a waiter offers you something doesn't mean they actually have it. Waiter may not have known that they ran out.

I would have said no to both beans and broccoli. Broccoli is an upgrade?

Of course, it all depends on how it is prepared, but,
if they bring green beans, I enjoy it.
If they bring broccoli, I eat it because it healthy.
If they bring Brussels sprouts, I ask "what did I do to pi$$ off the chef."

The ONLY thing green I want on my plate, any plate, is salsa verde.

For what it is worth, I am no longer calling Monday, "Monday." Now it is "Taco Tuesday Eve."

Cook should ran to Walmart for can of green beans.
