Does the Villages app give gps directions anymore?
It use to give golf cart and car directions.
Now it only says route failed.

Is there a way to get gps directions for a golf cart?

You did not state which version of the villages app you are using, the free version or the paid version. I have had problems with the free version if I have LOCATION services turned off on the phone. I have found you need to turn location services back on, get out of the villages app and then go back into the app, then it appears to work.
There will be several people that will suggest using Google maps and BIKE route, DO NOT DO THIS, bikes can go where golf carts cannot, and you may end up on a road where you are not allowed to be with a golf cart.

For automobile directions I find Google Maps, or Apple's Maps better than the Villages App. Too often the Villages app will get you to a spot that the car can't go. Case in point, I drove the car to First Responders, using the Villages App, and got to a point where cars could not proceed and the sign said "Cars use the Route 42 entrance. I've also had the Villages app deposit me at the backyard along Moyer Loop, for a home destination, instead of taking along the residential streets where the driveways are.
Obviously, for golf cart trips you have to use one of the Villages Apps... I use the free one. Works pretty well for that. Make sure you've updated to the latest version, and location service is on.

I agree with Laker14. I have had to go to the app store and reload (update) the free Villages app because the directions stopped working correctly.

My free Villages app is Version 3.1.25. Is that the latest version?
