Palmers Rant

Paid $18 for a bowl of French onion soup
It was good, but we're talking French onion soup

I know. There's no proof the onions were from France. I bet they weren't imported.

You're focusing on the soup. Focus, instead, on the experience! The ambiance!

There! Feel better now? 😉

Was the price a top-secret before you ordered it?

It’s called gouging.Checking prices on the plantation there is a captive audience here. We make our own and I doubt they use Gruyère cheese

Never trust the French.
We in the UK have had problems with them for centuries.
Mind you, they do a very good croissant!

Actually more than 18 dollars with the credit card surcharge

The credit card surcharge is 3.75 percent. So, with tax, credit card fee, and tip, the soup was about $24.

According to their online menu, the soup is made with Gruyere cheese, and the listed price for a bowl is $15.
